I'm an Eagles fan, so I'm biased.
But I wonder if beating the Eagles twice made Dallas a tad overconfident.
I also wonder if the Eagles will finally show their motherfucking blitzing defence and not this Tampa 2 crap they played last week.

I take nothing from Dallas on both wins. They outplayed the Eagles in both and deserved to win.

But, again, I'm biased.

I am going with Dallas as they have the better team and they are the hottest team in the NFC, but with that said it is extremely tough to beat a team as talented as the eagles twice let alone 3 times. I think that will make them focus a little more for this game.... Hopefully Roy Williams gets "accidently" locked in his locker before the game....

The Eagles showed me nothing on Sunday that leads me to believe they're going to go back down to Dallas in less than a week and beat them.

I think the game will be closer, I still think we'll lose, though.

Dallas matches up well with these guys in every phase. Eagles blitzed relentlessly in the first meeting and Romo beat it. They held back ridiculously last week and Romo picked them apart. They have no answer for Witten and Crayton, it seems. Ratliff has blown them up in both games. Ditto Anthony Spencer.

I'm not saying they will win, but I'll be very disappointed if they don't.

I agree with you, but also remember Mobb: this isn't what you see each year here. What you see is them look like shit, then get to the NFC Championship game and be declared the favorite, then crap the bed.

Haha, true. To me, that game last Sunday was like the NFC championship. There was so much to gain/lose for the Eagles in that game, the fact they shit the bed was no shock, sadly. I was so stoked for a chance at a first round bye and a home game in the divisional round, that loss was a real kick in the balls, in typical Eagles fashion.

as a Eagles fan, i never give up on my Eagles, but i see where you're coming from though.

I'm not giving up. If I gave up , I wouldn't waste my time watching. I just think it's going to be a very tough game for them to win. As much as I hate to admit it, Dallas is playing good ball right now. The Eagles are too (overall), but Dallas is on a roll defensively and I don't think our defense has a clue what's going on out on the field.

I hope McDermott comes out with a better game plan than that shit he came up with last week. We're going to need them for this game and this playoff run to make any noise.

Cole: That Was An Exhibition Game

Defensive end Trent Cole saw the Dallas Cowboys players celebrating after last Sunday's win by donning NFC East championship T-shirts and hats. While that would have been a nice honor, Cole is seeking something much larger and more meaningful.
"A couple of hats, a couple of T-shirts, that's not going to get you the Super Bowl. Basically, I'll call that an exhibition game," Cole said. "Everyone growing up wanted to be in the Super Bowl and play in the Super Bowl. We have a chance at it now. We have a chance of winning the Super Bowl and getting that ring. There's a lot of stuff involved. It's being a part of history, too, for the Eagles."
Cole has already established himself as one of the premier defensive ends in franchise history. A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Cole has 47.0 career sacks which ranks fifth in the team annals. He's coming off of a regular season where he posted a career-high-tying 12.5 sacks. However, he had just one of those sacks in two games against the Cowboys.
"It was a little bit of me not getting there. And some of it was them getting the ball off. They were getting the ball downfield. It was a good game plan they had," Cole said of last Sunday's loss. "You can tell the offensive coordinator is a top guy. He likes to change it up with the run, pass, run, pass. You do what you have to do, just go in there and play."
And Cole will be the first to say that the Eagles didn't do that well last week. The Eagles afforded Dallas quarterback Tony Romo too much time in the pocket and allowed their offense to be two-dimensional with the rushing attack.
"We have to get more pressure. Our main goal is to get pressure on him," Cole said. "As a front four, as a D-line, it starts up front first. We have to get up there and get some pressure on him. We didn't do what we were supposed to do when we were supposed to do it."
Cole is very confident that it's going to be a "totally different game" this Saturday.

This isn't as bad as TO posing on it, and that wasn't bad at all. Everyone in sports is so damn sensitive about everything. Reminds me of when the Titans stomped on the Terrible Towel last year and Pittsburgh fans about had a heart attack. It's a piece of fucking cloth. I understand it being a motivator for the players, but for fans, who cares?

If anything shit like this makes the game BETTER because you know that the players will be fired up.

Think of it this like this. And let me preface this by saying I don't feel this way personally;

Why do you think the logo of a team called the Cowboys is simply a star? A star has little to do in reminding you of a cowboy. To the fans in Texas, it's a symbol of not only the team, but the state and by extension the people. They take the term "Lone Star State" very seriously.

To them, you may as well spit on the Alamo or piss in the Rio Grande.

I don't think it'll affect the players much at all. But it will definitely affect the crowd.
