VSN Poster of the Year
Post your sleeper picks for this upcoming fantasy season. Explanations aren't required, but they are appreciated.
QB: Chad Henne, Miami - I think the Dolphins run game won't be as good this year, and I really like Davone Bess and Greg Camarillo. Add Brandon Marshall to the mix, and I think Henne should do fine.
RB: Jahvid Best, Detroit - maybe not really a sleeper, but I think he'll do the best of young RBs. He's been very impressive when I've seen him play (including college).
RB: Steve Slaton, Houston - I think he'll make his way back onto the playing field and re-establish himself. And it appears that a lot of people have Slaton rated really low (Buckhalter/Leon Washington territory), so you could probably snag him late in the draft.
RB: Beanie Wells, Arizona - did good at times last year. Cardinals will probably run the ball more with Warner and Boldin gone, and I think Wells has the ability to be a #1 RB.
WR: Hakeem Nicks, NYG - I really liked him coming out of UNC, and he played pretty well before he got hurt last year.
WR: Golden Tate, Seattle - I think "play-maker" WRs can do well in the NFL immediately, and Tate should get plenty of opportunities in Seattle.
WR: Julian Edelman, New England - Will probably be Brady's #2 target, I thought he did pretty good last year when he had to replace Welker. Could be taken very late in the draft.
TE: Jermaine Gresham, Bengals - Already forgotten about, but he was a freak at Oklahoma. I think he could be a deep target for Carson Palmer, because TO and Ocho aren't very fast.
K: Cowboys Kicker, Dallas - As always, whoever is Dallas' kicker is automatically the best kicker in the league. Take him early in the draft.
Def: 49ers - they have some good players like Patrick Willis and Justin Smith, but they do have some holes, too, especially in the secondary. Perhaps with a dominant offensive line, and an overall improved team, the Niners will play ball-control on offense to make their defense look better.
