Exactly. Theres a football hangover after the SB.. ppl dont care enough to watch the Pro Bowl after that extravaganza. This way people are still interested in football and are more inclined to tune in to watch.

All star game doesn't work in football, game's too physical. In the NBA the All Star MVP is actually taken seriously, in baseball HFA is on the line.

They restrict blitzing and put in other lame rules which makes the game even duller. Moving it to the week before the SB just gives more players a reason to skip.

Moving it out of Hawaii was a mistake, I'd imagine that was a big reason why players would want to go. Moving it to the week before the Super Bowl was a good idea, though.

I'm one of them. After the Superbowl I just can't watch a piece of shit game that is the Pro Bowl. But having that in the most hyped 2 weeks of media coverage all year makes me want to watch it because I'm still in "football mode"

I like the move. Besides, the whole week of Pro Bowl festivities (QB competitions and what not) are better than the game itself.

Yup. Can't wait to watch an All-Star game with half the All-Stars not playing...

We probably miss Peyton, Wayne, Clark, Freeney, and Mathis. If the Jets play, we miss Revis and two linemen... Not as big a loss.

NFC Side: Favre, Peterson, Sidney Rice, Jared Allen, Kevin Williams, and Percy Harvin (and maybe the punter). Or Brees, Vilma, Sharper, and some linemen...

Biggest loss would be Colts v. Vikings Super Bowl. Jeez.

I'll probably watch it, but Buffalo Wild Wings won't make any money off me (like they did for the BCSNC, yesterday's games, and will for the NFCC/AFC and maybe the SB).

I don't think the NBA game is taken all that seriously. That's why the scoring is as high as it is and you see guys being able to drive the lane and throw lobs off the backboards to themselves. It's really taken no more seriously IMO to a pickup game between NBA players...except the fans are choosing the teams.

The baseball HFA idea is fucking retarded. I've hated it since day 1. it was an idiotic knee jerk reaction to there being a tied game. Who cares if the game ends in a tie. It's a freaking exhibition. I hate the idea that HFA for the WORLD SERIES is determined by a game that includes players from every team in the league. IMO it should be based on best record during the year and in the event of a tie of records go to head to head play if they played in interleague and then to over all interleage record after that. You had an awesome amount of amazing moments in all-star games when they meant nothing, it's not like you had to make the game mean something to have great moments.

The Pro Bowl is dumb as hell and is one blown out knee of a star player from being scrapped.
