Rank the remaining playoff QBs...

Here is how I see the remaining playoff QBs, based on their ability, their season this year, and their career postseason performance.

1) Kurt Warner - has performed lights-out for the past two years. I ranked him first because I consider him to be the most dangerous QB, able to single-handedly defeat an opponent.

2) Peyton Manning - I am hoping he plays well, but IMO he still has a few postseason question marks.

3) Phillip Rivers - I think people give Rivers not enough credit for San Diego's performance this year. Their team isn't all that powerful, but Rivers is hot every game.

4) Drew Brees - has the biggest drop from regular to postseason performance IMO. I considered ranking Romo above him because Dallas has played well of late, and the Saints have struggled.

5) Tony Romo - this could be the year where he vaults to the 'elite' category.

6) Brett Favre - I will be rooting for him, and many times this season he took over games, but this is the postseason so I am taking a 'wait and see' approach.

7) Joe Flacco - big drop off from #6 to #7. But he has shown he can win.

8) Mark Sanchez - will the bubble burst?

i couldnt argue with that ranking. Maybe put favre above romo because i hate dallas

of all the remaining, warner is the one i am rooting for to win the SB. amazing to watch that offense play. I hated warner when he was with the rams. But now, at his age playing with fitz and all the plays they make....good times

Had a tough time ranking Brees/Rivers/Romo. Those 3 could easily be swapped and I wouldn't argue.

I also think that home field advantage makes a huge difference for some of these guys. Warner, Favre, Brees, and Romo are much better at home than away. Manning and Rivers, are the best road QBs out of this bunch.

1) Warner: Kurt Warner is so good in the playoffs. He was phenomenal against Green Bay.

2) Manning: Manning is the best QB probably ever, but he's just not as clutch as Kurt Warner come playoff time.

3) Brees: Brees has done a lot this season and was in the race for MVP. They have an explosive offense behind him and he's one of the best QB's in the League.

4) Favre: It's Brett Favre.

5) Rivers: IMO, the MVP this year. But once again, what have you done in the playoffs? I think they can get the win, but it is going to rely a lot on PR.

6) Romo: He's a good QB, but what has he done in the playoffs? Not a whole lot.

7) Sanchez: In his first playoff performance he was 12 of 15. He doesn't have to do a whole lot with that running game. But I still rate him above Flacco.

8) Flacco: His injury is going to affect him this week and later if they advance, I don't see them pulling out a win this week however.

1) Billy Volek: Won me a FF championship back in the day, so he's clutch in the post-season.
2) Mark Brunell: Led the Jags to the AFC Championship once. Also led his team to 62 points once in the playoffs.
3) Jon Kitna: He guaranteed a 10-win season and backed it up years later.
4) Matt Leinart: Tearing up Oklahoma's defense in 2005 is like tearing up the Saints' defense, right?
5) Troy Smith: Thank the heavens he's not playing a team from Florida.
6) Tarvaris Jackson: Playoff experience prevails. Even though he posted a 45.4 rating last year.
7) Curtis Painter: Quarterback U produced another gem. He single-handily led the invincible Colts to two-straight losses.
8) Kellen Clemens: He's backing up Mark Sanchez, 'nuff said.

1) Brett Favre - Incredibly driven to stuff a Superbowl trophy down the throat of TT and his naysayers. Best QB in the league at home.

2) Peyton Manning - One of the games best tacticians ever. Likely to be back in the Superbowl again.

3) Kurt Warner - Returning NFC champ and leader of the greatest show on turf, part deux. Lit up Green Bay but then again Big Ben threw for over 500 on them a few weeks ago.

4) Phillip Rivers - Always seems to peak in time for the post season. Will be a tough out for Manning.

5) Drew Brees - Looked great in the regular season....check. Letdown in the postseason....check?

6) Tony Romo - The media has been feeding him all of the cheese he can handle. Let's see if he eats it.

7) Joe Flacco - Does just enough to win. Trent Dilfer 2.0

8) Mark Sanchez - Will have a long flight back from California on Sunday afternoon.

1.Warner-It's taken time i know, but hard to argue stats. It's going to great watching a Warner/Romo NFC Championship game...

2.Manning-4 mvp's speak for themselves.

3.Romo-Playing the best football of his career and probably the best of any QB remaining in the playoffs.

4.Brees-great QB, but nuk keeps reminding us 1-8 in playoffs..

5.Rivers- before the cowboys game I really liked Rivers, but after seeing that pretty much all he does is throw jump balls to his 6'5"+ WR's and has the look of somebody you just want to punch goes down on my list.

6.Favre- I will forever Hate Brett Favre..I really hope childress thinks Favre was worth the extra 1 win. esp when they lose and the owner picks brett over him..

7.Flacco-may be hurt may be not...

8.Sanchez-all about the win. he beats the bengals and then gets to make fun of carrol.

while i would put sanchez 8, but there is something clearly wrong with flacco so i am going to think he is the biggest liability. Flacco is clearly a better QB overall and will be in his career, but when you throw 10 passes it's like your trying to hide something..

1) Kurt Warner He belongs at #1. He is almost on the same talent level as Manning and has a far superior playoff record to him. You know he isn't going to lose your team a postseason game.

2) Peyton Manning Both he and Rivers are .500 in the playoffs but obviously Manning has the ring and has had the better career. There isn't much splitting the two when it comes to post season play but I'll give the nod to Manning for now.

3) Philip Rivers He peaks at the right time of season, take away a poor performance in the AFC Championship game against the Patriots 2 years back, he has had a pretty solid postseason career and put the Chargers in position to win (3TD, 1INT last year vs Steelers). Game on the line, time running out, 1 of 3 quarterbacks in the postseason I would trust.

4) Drew Brees Again - talent wise he would probably be ranked #2. His postseason play up to now hasn't been too bad and this is the year he will improve on his record.

5) Brett Favre Great career and a good season. Will be a great matchup between he and Romo and it will come down to who wants it more.

6) Tony Romo Despite being ranked 6, he is still a good quarterback and got over that December/postseason slump this season. A ring would shut all the doubters up and finally end the somewhat irrelevent debate of Eli vs Romo - Romo will be considered the better QB.

7) Joe Flacco The Ravens won't be winning off their passing game. Not this postseason anyway. But hey, 2 playoff wins in 2 NFL seasons isn't bad at all.

8) Mark Sanchez The only QB here without a postseason loss but he is ranked #8? I think we'll see the rookie in him this week. Lets hope so anyway
