So in summation;

-Ordonez hits a HR that was close to being foul. He stares at the shot (his excuse being he wasn't sure if it was fair or foul, which I guess I buy. He's been around long enough that he doesn't need to admire his own HRs)

-Weaver immediately throws a bitch fit and tells him to "run faster". He proceeds to chirp at Ordonez throughout the game, prompting Ordonez to chirp back later on after a pop fly.

-Guillen, who I understand is Ordonez's best friend on the team, takes Weaver yard and adds a nice "Fuck you, THIS is a fuckin' stare" to his HR trot.

-In continued bitch fashion, Weaver continues to run his mouth even after he should have been put in his place. Both benches get warned, and he then launches a fastball at Aviles' head the very next pitch, continues mouthing off to the umpire, Aviles, and everyone else while walking (pretty quickly) back to the safety of his own dugout.

I won't even get into the "bunting on Verlander during the no-no" nonsense - don't have a problem with it at all. (Though Verlander is a bitch too for his actions in the dugout afterward)

But :laugh: at the "unwritten rules" of baseball showing up again. Ballplayers, especially pitchers, are fucking bitchmade, and Jered Weaver is a perfect example. He's as much a pussy for throwing that ball as he is for scurrying to the dugout immediately after and not facing the whupping that he rightfully should have gotten. Would've loved to see Guillen come out of the other dugout and break his punk ass in half.

You know why they're called "unwritten rules"? Because they're not actually rules. This shit is gonna get somebody killed one day.

I think the Angels are going to win the pennant. Aybar gained a lot of respect in the locker room for laying that bunt down. Verlander was acting just as bitchmade over the bunt as Weaver was about Ordonez/Guillen.

Today's guys are plenty secure (besides the fact they still face 90+ mph fastballs routinely and the occasional on-field collision). Unfortunately, baseball waited until a base coach died before requiring everyone to wear helmets.

To be fair they probably should've been wearing helmets from the jump, regardless of who or who hasnt died. They're often old ass guys who look near asleep out there, bad shit has potential to happen there. Fielders wearing helmets shouldnt have to happen because players should always be aware of the ball, not that base coaches shouldnt, but they are old sleepy fucks.

So just continue to do what wasn't working for the past 7 innings? The defense was playing too far back against a speedy player, that's exactly how your supposed to play that situation if your Aybar. Not Verlanders fault that he bounced the throw to first base.
