Roger Goodell upholds player discipline in Saints' 'bounty' scandal

Four players -- Scott Fujita, Anthony Hargrove, Will Smith and Jonathan Vilma -- were notified today that Commissioner Roger Goodell has upheld the discipline that was imposed for conduct detrimental to the NFL as a result of their roles in the New Orleans Saints’ pay-for-performance/bounty program.

Pretty embarrassing episode all around.

This was all a p.r. play for the players. The union and these players always talked a good game when the cameras were around, and fed nonsensical conspiracy theories to the local rube writers in New Orleans, but when legal push came to legal shove, they wouldn't cooperate with the appeal process, stormed out of meetings like petulant children when confronted with rock solid evidence that they the could not refute, and had no answers for for the piles of proof that the bounty program existed.

lol no LEGAL action has been taken yet. That is coming soon considering Goodell has 2 days to respond to the defamation suit on top of the 2nd lawsuit filed.
