Rumor: Eagles Will Look to Trade McNabb

That's according to WFAN's Francessa who said despite what Reid has said publicly, the organization is really high on Kolb and will look to deal McNabb by draft day.

Plus, McNabb has 1-year left and will want a big extension.


This is just me talking but there's 0% chance Vick is an Eagle next year with the money he's due.

I agree with most of the VSN Philly fans, the bigger problem is the Stubborn-Fuck-Known-As-Andy-Reid who won't run the damn ball. And I didn't know Philly had a chance to draft Anthony Spencer, but Reid traded down to get Kolb - WTF?????

McNabb to the 49ers makes the most sense IMO. They have two firsts and McNabb, at 33 years old and one year left on his deal, certainly wouldn't require the booty that Jay Cutler got the Broncos.

I think it would be a mistake to trade McNabb, because the Eagles are not a rebuilding team.
This is a championship-calibre team that just needs better playcalling and a few pieces on D.
Trading him now would just be stupid.
I am not knocking Kolb, but he's the guy I'd trade (assuming he has good trade value). If he doesn't have good trade value, you just keep him for the year left on his deal, play McNabb ... and if McNabb still can't get it done, you have Kolb.

Maybe he wasn't negative enough.....in hindsight maybe he shouldn't have welcomed Vick with open arms....bringing Vick there was just another distraction that helped fuck with continuity of the Eagles offense.....Reid didn't know what the hell to do with Vick lol

I would much rather see Reid and his people leave than McNabb. Reid has fell short so many times in so many ways that its a wonder he's not on the hot-seat. He has horrible time-management and horrible play-calling skills. The success of the eagles the past decade has been solely on the talent we brought in, Jim Johnson and Donovan McNabb. Would I be sad if McNabb left? Yes, but at this point I don't see any other alternatives. This team needs to be shaken up a little bit.

To completely dismiss Reid is ridiculous.
28 other NFL teams would kill to have his record the past 10 years.
While I agree his offensive playcalling can be shoddy, there are few coaches better than Andy Reid.

Maybe you misunderstood my use of the word distraction

The simple fact that Reid kept dicking around trying to find ways to plug Vick in, was a distraction to the offense....it also was a distraction to McNabb.......you even agreed that he couldn't find a good way to utlilize Vick......

Nabb's a good guy and he would never speak ill of Reid or Vick in public though

And how did the Eagles benefit from just having Vick around? They're the ones who threw Vick a life line, other than that, the Eagles didn't need Vick......they already had a guy in McNabb who was good for the locker room and on the field
