After some roster managing (Steven Wesley gone, Thearon Collier taking care of personal stuff, Stephen Plein and Gavin Hardin staying at UM, but taken off football scholarship due to injury) Miami has fit Henderson and Anderson, two late addition coup's.

Henderson started practice yesterday...he will be doing a lot of conditioning work. I still have my money on Malcolm Bunche and Brandon Linder playing before Henderson, considering Hendo's lack of technique and conditioning...but he'll be available.

Anderson just got his clearinghouse stuff taken care of and can start practice today. Again, I am not sure he plays a whole lot, but he should be on the football roster.

A good site about forced attrition in CFB. It routinely blasts LSU, and for good reason. Oversigning is some ethically questionable shit. Larry- what reasons were given for why the kids were removed to make room for Henderson and Anderson? Other than the kid with the injury, sounds like the rest were just dead weight?

Steven Wesley was really the only shady issue...I'm not privvy to all of the details, but know a few people around the situation and supposedly its a bit shady on the University. Steven is going to transfer down to a D1AA school.

Gavin Hardin and Stephen Plein have injury issues and are being taken off football scholarship but will be part of the University if they so desire. I know Plein is going to stay...unsure about Gav. Supposedly he went home to think it over. He had a neck injury...Randy takes those injuries very seriously (Jermaine McKenzie had a neck injury in the Marve crash and never got cleared...he ended up transferring).

Thearon Collier is going through lots of personal stuff. His newborn kid just died and he is a guy that has had a difficult time getting away from the streets (for those that recall, he and TY Hilton - FIU stud WR) had beef for years...he requested to be dismissed so he can take care of his business...it remains to be seen if he comes back, but he wasn't cut as "dead weight", he was expected to be a major contributor.

Then there were three kids that were placed in Milford because they simply don't have the grades.

Not quite as bad as Alabama cutting 17 kids last year, lol, and most of these kids have legitimate reasons...sans Wesley, as was mentioned.

As of today, Anderson hasn't practiced...Randy still says he is a "track guy"...but yet, we sit there with 84 scholarship athletes on our roster. I think he shows up at some point...I mean, he just arrived on campus yesterday and is rooming with Seantrel.

btw - Coaches LOVE Seantrel.

Think he is the most athletic guy they've ever seen at that size. Love his feet and how athletic he is...but worry about his conditioning...so, they are putting him through the rigors right now getting him to lose some weight (reported at 365).

I still don't think he plays much this season, but the coaches love'em.
