So my boi over at the Sony outlet store told me they are gonna be having that sale on all the vita bundles, n if coming in on blk Friday was gonna be an issue, I could buy the sexy whitegurl AC bundle today n get the difference back to me during the weekend...

So now I'm like should I really buy a vita? Sell me this handheld...
 
why the fuck would anyone want one of these handhelds? do you not get enough gaming in on your console that you need a separate handheld to play more games?
 
As long as you're not wanting a shit ton of games you should go for it. I have Uncharted, AC3L, Hot Shots Gold, and MLB 12 The Show and that's more than enough to keep me occupied (plus the PS+ games coming out). Of course the lineup is a little small, but I personally don't use this as a primary console, so the few games I do have is plenty. I love having it though. Being able to game while not at home is nice (fuck phone gaming).
 
$199 for the console, ACL, and memory card is a pretty good deal. IF you were to pay any more I would tell you no. Are you a PS+ member? If you are not then add that on to the cost cause it seems like it will be worth it for the Vita.

If you travel, work nites (and unsupervised), a kid...I would get one. If you are home most of your free time, you can just play on your PS3. The games are nice but don't think you will play a Vita thinking you're playing the PS3. MLB The Show is nice but it's not like I'm playing the game at home. I'm not saying the games aren't good but have realistic expectations. I am looking forward for tomorrow and getting some free games.
 
I don't want to piggyback here but I'm going to. I bought a PSP at the end of the PS2 lifecycle and never found that I used it much after the first month. What makes the Vita experience different? I think that the concept intrigues me, but it seems like the lack of games combined with the price is a bit of a drawback. I guess I just want an honest opinion from people that have it: if you could know what you know now, would you buy it again?

lol loks like we are in the same boat. i say craigslist this shit for 100 if possible. but paying 250 or whatever retail is is out of the question. your boy at sony is offering you what kind of deal after price matching bf or whatever. is it's more than 150 i say don't buy
 
Definitely worth $200 for those bundles. But go with the Liberation bundle because it's a sexy white version with a much better game than CoD.
 
I really want to get a Vita for Assassin's Creed, but I really don't see any other games that I would like and enjoy playing, especially with all the other games I have. I can't really justify the cash for it.

An Assassin's Creed 3 PlayStation Vita bundle is hitting Amazon.com today for $179.99, and will feature a white PS Vita, a 4GB memory card and copy of Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation for the handheld device.

Also included in the Thanksgiving deal is download code for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, 30-day code for PlayStation Plus and a $10 Gift Card toward Assassin's Creed 3 on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 consoles, an Amazon representative told Polygon.

This follows last week's reveal from Sony regarding an Assassin's Creed 3 Vita bundle including a PlayStation Vita limited Edition white Wifi device, Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation and a 4GB memory card for $199.99.

Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation received a 6 out of 10 from Polygon, stating "Ubisoft's desire to transcend low expectations for handheld spin-offs is clear."

Update: The Assassin's Creed 3 PS Vita bundle will hit Amazon.com on Nov. 23, taking over the website's Gold Box page at 12 p.m. PST.
