VSN Poster of the Year
MVP: Drew Brees, Saints - when Nukleopatra starts bashing you, you know its an MVP season (see Rich Gannon).

Comeback Player of the Year: Brett Favre, Vikings - have to give him an award...for something. Cedric Benson could be a good choice, too.

Rookie of the Year: Rey Maualuga, Bengals - guy has transformed Cincy into a hard-nosed team. Honorable mention to Percy Harvin of the Vikes.

Defensive Player of the Year: Jared Allen, Vikings - has a great motor (i.e. good white player on defense).

Kicker/Punter of the Year: Shane Lechler, Raiders - he's averaging 52.3 yards per punt!!! Does anyone know this??

Special Teamer of the Year other than Shane Lechler: Josh Cribbs, Browns - among the leaders in both kick and punt return average. Has a ton of return yards.

Neckbeard of the Year: Kyle Orton, Broncos - he deserves an award for something, too.
 
I'd argue that Brian Cushing has actually had a greater impact on the Texans defense than Rey Rey has had on the Bengals D.

Plus Cushing is just playing better football than Rey.
 
Correction: I bash Drew Brees for not stepping up in big games. Anything less than the NFC Championship game, is a failure, in my opinion. I honestly don't give a fuck if Brees wins MVP and goes 16-0. If he's not at least playing in the NFC Title game, he's a failure.

Tom Brady would give up his regular season MVP award in exchange for the Superbowl trophy Eli took from him. 18-1 sucks if that 1 loss is the championship game.

Exactly.

MVP doesn't mean shit to me. Peyton Manning won it last year, when Kurt Warner was more worthy, with the run Arizona made in the playoffs. Unfortunately, the postseason doesn't matter... and if the postseason doesn't matter, I don't give it a second thought. Give it to Drew Brees, for all I care. When he's playing in the NFC Title game, I'll stfu. He doesn't even have to win it, just get there, and don't be the reason they lost.

Texans D has been pretty inconsistent tho, Bengals have been solid through out the season.

I'd argue that Jarius Byrd for the Bills is the DROY so far.

Byrd leads the league in INT's with 7 and has 37 tackles.
