The only reason they weren't the top team again this year was due to injuries. If Garnett comes back healthy and Sheed actually gets under the damn basket, the Celtics are going to be even better than 2 years ago.

im not sure how this is going to work out. This reminds me of the early 2000 Portland teams with Pip, Stouddamire, Derek Anderson, Dale Davis, Sabonis. team that seemd to have all stars or past all stars at every spot and they couldnt get past the Lakers. I know they took them to a game 7 where the Lakers pulled off a miracle to win with some help by the refs but still they never reached a championship.

Only way this could work is if sheed really buys in to the team along with marbury. Sheed has already won championships and it seemed like he took the playoffs off from his poor D this year, so who knows where his motivation is. If sheed buys into this team and rando deosnt get too crazy with his ego then this team will be the team to beat in the east.

Hows the backup PG situation for rando?

Its crazy because now with Sheed and KG you possibly have two of the games intense players on the same team.

Half of the time now, Sheed doesn't give a shit and he gets lost in the average game. Road games? Well he's usually good old Rasheed Wallace, but even those games have become few and far between.

Maybe with the Celtics, and him knowing he has a legit shot at another title, that will change.

I recall him saying at the beginning of this last season, that the Pistons were pretty much done. That's why he changed his number back. He knew the ownership was beginning to rebuild, and he didn't see the point in busting his ass for something that was going to be torn apart anyways.

I'm sure playing with this new team will restore his vigor. I am absolutely stoked for next season.

True, but his intensity has been on a steady decline ever since Ben Wallace left town. Last 2 or 3 seasons, he hasn't been himself. He disappears way too much and most of the time he doesn't give a shit.

I like Sheed, one of my favorite players, so hopefully he can get that fire back with the Celtics.

Trivia question. Rasheed averaged 5 blocks a game throughout his whole stint with this one team. What team was it?

This move puts Boston as the favorites in the East. As if they weren't already? I hate to say it, but Orlando might of done too much, and the Cavaliers not enough. I'm hoping that Wednesday brings some surprises and some of these guys go back on their "commitments" and shake things up. No lines have been inked yet, but if this one does? Boston is going to be nasty next season.

I didnt look this up but im gonna say hawks because he only played one game there before being traded to detroit
