There was 2 others running... one in thread...the other on yahoo.

Neither did spreads...one had an oddball thursday deadline..

We all have lives and missing a thursday deadline or even a 1 pm deadline shouldnt destroy your entire week.
Ive seen good leagues fall apart because some guy was in the lead then forgot his picks while on vacay then stopped making picks.

I would like to see this competitive well into the season not just week 1 hysteria. Thus the rules.

Against the spread creates more variety in picks and tougher choices on otherwise meaningless games.

I hate when the spread is a whole number. It think it should always be with a half on it. Like 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, etc. That way you can avoid a push.

Say the Patriots are a 4.5 point favorite, which would look like -4.5. This means the Patriots would have to win by at least 5 in order to cover the spread. On the other hand, say the Jets are a 4.5 point underdog, which would look like +4.5, it means they can lose by up to 4 and still be considered the winner.

So basically, it's not just picking who you think will win but picking who will win the spread? Seems easy enough.

whichever team has +4.5 or whatever gets that added to their score at the end of the game. then you pick who wins based on that. packers are 13.5 point fav over the bills. if you think the packers will 'cover' that 13.5 point bonus, then you pick the packers. if you think the bills get within 13.5 points (or even win) you should pick the bills
