We should stop the oversea games, in part because the games are always shitty. This is an example of a shitty game. Who cares what you thought when the schedule was made? It's shitty now and every other game in London has been shitty too. It doesn't matter what teams you send, it's stupid to send NFL teams to England, have them play shittily (which happens every Sunday here in the states too), and then expect the limeys to like it ...

You could send the freaking Patriots there and the game would still suck and nobody in either country would want to watch. (Oh wait, that already happened.)

Tit for tat. Whenever England sends Manchester United or Chelsea over to the US, the Americans end up seeing Hilario in goal, an 18-year old Jonny Evans wandering around aimlessly, and John Terry playing as a lone striker.

Glen, with all the Broncos' problems right now, are you PUMPED UP to get to see your team play in London, England? Are you thrilled about the coolness of it all, the novelty?

So I guess the only teams the NFL should book there are the Patriots, Steelers, Giants and any others that perennially win. Then when they end up going over as a losing team, people like you can bitch about how the NFL booked a bad match-up.

The minute I saw that we had a game in London I was pissed.. The Giants were actually about to rebound from this madness somehow and win the Super Bowl, but I see this as a season killer. It sucks more for the Niners since they're the ones who have to lose a home game to this bullshit, but I've basically written off our chances next week because the NFL just tacked 16 hours of jet lag on both of these squads for no reason whatsoever.. Luckily we have a BYE the next week, but still as bad as Denver has looked and as beat up as we are a cross Atlantic flight isn't really what we need right now..

So in short... I have never been, nor will I ever be in favor of these games during the regular season in any sport. Get this BS out of the way in the pre-season, it's not like anyone in London would be able to tell if the starters or backups were in there in the first place. The same goes for starting a baseball season in Japan... Mindless PR bullshit.

I did hear that Auburn is taking their dog and pony show on the road. Next stop: Cam Newton vs. the Japanese Football League All-Stars in the Tokyo Dome! 1 v. 11, with Malzahn calling plays. Malznewton opened up as 5 point favorites.
