2011 Poster Of The Year
*First person to post "OMG SNL ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE THEY SHOULD JUST CANCEL IT ALREADY" gets groaned & punched in the nuts. Take that meme someplace else, if you don't watch the show why the fuck are you in the thread?*
Six new cast members. They are calling this a reboot, but past reboots have had sweeping changes. A few of key cast members moved on (Sudeikis, Hader, Armisen), but everybody else is back. The six newbies are featured players. Here they are, including AT&T commercial guy Beck Bennett:

Season debut was pretty great until Update stopped the show in its tracks (like usual - Seth Myers is the pits. He leaves in January. Good riddance.). Everything post Update was meh, which is odd, at least for me, because I usually like the quirkier shit they do after Update better than the tired reoccurring bits that they pound down your throat pre Update.
Anyway, this was going to be good because Tina Fey is awesome. The key moving forward will be the writing. If the awful & unfunny Seth Myers phases himself out quickly and fresh blood takes over, the show has no choice but to improve on the previous few lame seasons that wasted a pretty solid cast.
The 'Girls' parody was a highlight. I actually liked the Obamacare cold open, and I usually hate the political cold opens. The "New Cast Member or Arcade Fire?" sketch was clever.
Beck Bennett was only given a couple of straight man roles. Hoping he gets more play later in the season, but sometimes it takes a while to find your footing, and more importantly, for the writers to figure out what to do with you. I like his potential as a Phil Hartman "glue guy".
Noel Wells is going to be real good, but the show is loaded with women already so it'll be tough to get airtime.
Patrick O'Brien got the most airtime of the new cast members, but that was to be expected with Fey hosting because they're tight.
John Milhiser had a good idea with his lame stand up comic character on Update, but it didn't really land. More clever than funny.
