So whats your excitment level for the NFL this season ?

I admittedly always go through an October lull. But my interest usually picks up in late November. This year I feel no such interest gaining steam.
Cowboys being total ass suckers has alot to do with it as I genuinely have a hatred for Garrett. But Im just having a hard time on any given Sunday picking a game to watch because other than Mannings "comeback" season Im not really feeling pulled in by any particular players/team/story. I felt this way last season but I caught Tebow mania. (Maybe I should just be a Broncos fan)

This is the first time in memory where if I didn't look it up..I would have no idea who the leagues leading rusher , passer , sack leader is.
This Thursday night bullshit has resulted in me watching 5 whole quarters of season. Along with several "oh shit there was a game on" friday realizations. I have zero interest in MNF unless the game is close and late. (pack sea hou chi)

Just curious as to how excited you guys are for NFL week to week . Also any players or teams (other than your own) youre finding interesting to watch ?

On a scale to 1-10 my current interest is at 5.

I used to flip through games and watch random teams. Now I just watch Packers and Steelers games. I am somewhat interested as to how the playoff spots play out in each conference...the wild card races should be pretty intense.

This seasons Bucs and last season is night and day. We have a, dare I say it, top 10 offense and 5 is developing into what we drafted him to be. New coaching regime is awesome and has seemingly turned things around. Still have a ways to go but we are exceeding expectations.

The Peyton Manning comeback, the Giants rollercoaster season, the Saints (I've kind of adopted them, I would love to see them squeeze into the playoffs), and I love watching both the Texans and the Niners.

'Tis been a good season, though I haven't been able to enjoy much of it (work on Thursdays & Sundays, school on Mondays).

This season has been one of the more interesting in recent memory to me. No truly elite teams, all of the top teams have flaws somewhere, only one truly abysmal, completely noncompetitive team in the Jaguars, and it feels like it's wide open in between. Peyton Manning and his comeback, the debacle that is Thursday Night Football, Andrew Luck taking the worst team in the league to legitimate wild card contender and the Chuck Pagano story there, unexpected competitive teams like the mentioned Colts, Vikings, Dolphins, Seahawks, Bucs, etc, etc. I am enjoying this season a lot, both watching my own team and watching things play out around the league. It's interesting and GOOD football for the most part.

My interest continues to decline each year. Part of that is because of the inconsistencies of the Titans (although I was more excited than I thought I would be during the start of the season with Locker starting - plus three of four wins of theirs have been last-minute type ordeals), but also, these storylines just don't do much for me.

Thursday Night Football is an abomination.

A 4, maybe? Part of me thinks it's because of fantasy football, but also it doesn't help that pretty much every team is kind of, just, bad. There really is no telling who is going to win what week, and at this point I refuse to believe it's "parity" unless we're just admitting at this point that the parity is just facing off a bunch of really mediocre teams. It's hard to get excited when a team can look amazing one week, and then like the worst team in the NFL the next week. It's just too disjointed.

6. Even last year with the Lions playing well I wasn't excited about it outside of them. Probably hurts that they're so bad this season, but I spent most of my time as a fan getting more excited over neutral games because the Lions were shit. I'll watch on Sundays but am much more willing to watch something else/get work done than I have in the past. And I've given up on primetime games.
