This trade might pan out for the Bobcats...Chandler is much more of a uptempo center, while Okafor is a half court guy. If the Bobcats play an uptempo game, which with players like Augustin, Felton, Richardson, etc. they easily can and should, this could look like a very even trade.

I wonder why the Hornets are doing this though...yes, Okafor is a better overall player...but they really need DEPTH, not 1 for 1 post player trades.

Richardson was traded to the Suns half-way through last season dude..

Bobcats are a half court team no doubt.. one of the slowest ran offenses in the entire NBA.

wtf are the bobcats doing? Tyson Chandler is injury prone and the only thing he could actually do is catch lobs. Okafor on the other hand is a solid PF/C but way better than Chandler.

So glad we got Okafor. Chandler was never a defensive presence down low and now we get a great defender who can blocks shots along with shoot the ball at a high percentage in the paint.

The only reason could be that they want salary off the books a few years earlier, but trading the face of your franchise since its inception for it doesn't seem right, especially since they just severely overpaid him.

its unlikely that the hornets would have traded tyson without getting a good center back and having 2 big men who can't score isn't going to produce wins. Also ever since Diaw came to Charlotte he's been incredible and has made Okafor a better player because of his passing ability.

Yeah since the Hornets were all about trading their starting C and not getting one back in return. Teams love trading their starting big men to other teams and not getting a big back in return. This happens all the time.
