No. Brazil from the mid 90's to mid 00's were fucking ridiculous. The 70's Brazilians were ridiculous. They would make this current Spanish squad look average. Spain relies heavily on slowing the game down, keeping multiple passing lanes open, then making a late run, and then containing a counter attack as best as possible. The Brazilian teams have shown that possession has never been needed to help them win games. Brazil goes balls out on the counter attack, forcing the other team to recover faster.
Most teams will counter by waiting for a mistake and then rush. Brazil will let you play your game, and then just send everyone to the races. The scariest part about Brazil is that they have defenders who have no fear of just bombing forward at any point during a game. Roberto Carlos would do this, and Danny Alves loves to do this as well.
