-Dragon Gate six man tag at WrestleMania weekend 2006 is the greatest match I have ever seen. Athletically, nothing comes close. Flawless execution of a seemingly impossible series of spots. Just amazing. Pro wresting is an art form, and this match was fine art.
-Any Misawa vs. Kobashi match from the physical prime of both men in the 90's.
-Any KENTA vs. Naomichi Marufuji match from the past decade. Start with the masterpiece Empire posted a few posts above this.
-The KENTA vs. Katsuhiro Nakajima matches in 2009 were beyond great, but MUST be watched consecutively and in order to appreciate the psychology. These guys are so good, the psychology carries over from match to match. And Nakajima was 20 years old when the matches took place. Amazing.
-Eddy Guerrero & Art Barr, "Los Gringos Locos" vs. El Hijo Del Santo & Octagon - double hair vs. mask - AAA "When Worlds Collide" PPV 1994. This match changed the business in many ways. Find an unclipped version. Art Barr died on the verge of wordwide superstardom, but really it paved the path for Guerrero. Barr had twice the charisma of Eddy. Think about that.
-Any Tiger Mask vs. Dynamite Kid match circa 1982-83. These matches hold up 30 years later, and really, still blow away stuff today.
-Eddy Guerrero vs. Dean Malenko, ECW Farewell, best of three. Legedary. Sadly, doesnt hold up in 2011, but they were working a match for 1995 so it shouldnt matter.
-KENTA vs Low Ki, ROH Final Battle 2005.
-Any Bryan Danielson vs. Austin Aries ROH match.
-Kensuke Sasaki & Katsuhiro Nakajima vs. Brent Albright & Roderick Strong, ROH 2009.
-"Burning" vs. Kensuke Office 8-man elimination match 2008. The usual suspects here...Kobashi, KENTA, Nakajima, Sasake, and friends. One hour + of awesome.
I can go on for days, BUT if Austin was asking me and my Tough Enough life depended on it, I wouldnt say any of those. I'd say Bret vs Owen from WM X or Kurt Angle vs. HBK or something.
