This card is pretty mcuh the Ultimate Fight Night version from Strikeforce

Villasenor has been in some bigger fights with Barnoni, Ninja Rua, etc...and Cyborg has been around the block, both exciting fighters, Cyborg is Cyborgs (The female fighter) husband

Nick Thompson is the guy who lost to Shields on CBS a while back in EliteXC, he has a good record, but not not a top of the line talent, Tim Kennedy is a military guy

Gurgel has been in the UFC before, as soon as the UFC dropped him he was picked up, Conor Huen has been doing pretty good, I really good jiu jitsu guy

Kaufman and Shayna will be the FOTN, both of these women fights hard, Kaufman likes to stand and Shayna is a Josh Barnett fighter and has some really good grappling

the undercard actaully has a couple decent fights in Hallen and Bang Ludwig

Should be a good night of fights, I think Ultimate Fight Night is on the same night, but should be earlier, I think this is on at 10pm

Dennis Hallman is the best fighter that nobody has heard of. I'm a big fan. He never gets a push,no matter who he fights for. I don't get it.

Fancy Pants vs. Ludwig is interesting. That's not on TV either, though. Fuckers. Boring ass Gurgel gets on TV, all based on getting smoked in UFC a bunch of times. Note to promoters- PUSH YOUR OWN STARS. Pushing former UFC fighters just makes you look inferior.

Strikeforce Challengers is always on Friday when it airs, just happened to be the same weekend as the UFC Finale.


Some people above may be confused, this is not Cyborg, the girl who will be fighting Carano. This is her husband, Evangelista Cyborg.

Should be a good fight in the main event, I like Villasenor (from the MMA/boxing thread, he's a Mexican American, too). If he never lost to Ninja Rua in EXC, he should have been challenging Lawler for the top middleweight spot.

Kaufman is a great striker, she was great in the last fight. So powerful. Plus, she's one of the nicest fighters (at least it comes off that way on TV).

Some people above may be confused, this is not Cyborg, the girl who will be fighting Carano. This is her husband, Evangelista Cyborg.

Should be a good fight in the main event, I like Villasenor (from the MMA/boxing thread, he's a Mexican American, too). If he never lost to Ninja Rua in EXC, he should have been challenging Lawler for the top middleweight spot.

yeah, they always do Friday nights, plus they can pump the Afflcition PPV which is only 2 weeks away I think and than Gina/Cyborg and Thompson/Melendez on August 15th

Joey V is a very good fighter, good skill set, had some tough losses to Ninja and against Lawler in pride, lost quick, but he is a better fighter than that
