I'm pretty sure they've been doing it like this for a couple years because by the end of the year all the teams get pretty high in OVR thanks to all the ratings bumps they do throughout the season.
 
Jets a 79 overall are overated compared to what other teams are. Raiders went 8-8 with their best player missing and are among the lowest rated wow glad these ratings really mean nothing

Raiders deserve to be low. It'll be a miracle if the Raiders make another 8-8 season. Most likely we'll see 5-6 wins.

Reggie McKenzie did what he needed to do so we can actually be successful in the future.

The fact that the Steelers are an 85 while the Ravens are an 80 is a joke. I think the Ravens did more than enough to prove they were a better team last year.

Probably because Brady is rated a 99, Gronk is probably a 95, Welker a 90, Hernandez a High 80, Kicker is probably a 90+

Nicks and Manning are probably the only 2 Giants rated above a 90.

totally guessing here though.
