Another pointless thread to help pass off the end of the offseason.

Who is the greatest quarterback of all time? If you're counting championships, you might go straight for Joe Montana, though Otto Graham has more.

If you're counting stats, then no one measures-up to the Iron Man Brett Favre, with Marino close behind.

Just pure greatness? John Unitas? Bart Starr? Peyton Manning? Tom Brady?

Who do you think is the greatest quarterback of all time?
 
Joe Montana. He had amazing stats, won four Superbowls, he won without a lot of talent around him, and he won with different guys around him. He was also one of the most clutch QB's in NFL history. How can you honestly say anyone else?

If I can choose any player in history, not just QB, to start a team, it would be Manning. He might be the only player that could virtually gauruntee success regardless of what you put around him.

if ur for pure winning then i could see someone make the case for montana but if its stats then manning.

But GOAT....No way. Screwed up to many times in the playoffs.

Just saying my Brett Favre comment was a joke. Easily my favorite QB of all time, but I'm not homerish enough to say he's the best of all time. He may not even be the best Packers QB of all time.
 
If I wanted to win 10+ regular season games a season, Manning.

If I wanted to win a Super Bowl, Montana.

Montana actually got better in the playoffs against tougher competition. Manning gets significantly worse.
