Watching the Phils Vs Giants game right now and loving the new offense

Gotta hand it to the Braves, they are practically rabbit out of the hat magicians this season, even if it was just the Natinals.

Still, happy to see the Phils have some of that swagger back. Can't really beat getting a match-up of Cain v. Blanton and winning 8-2.

Yea I thought it would be rough tonight. But JRoll's warming up, Utley got on base, so its nothing but good news so far. I still believe the only weakness we have is that dumbass Kendrick. Otherwise I am dead sure Blanton's on his second half tear.

As for the Braves, I thought Glaus would go to 3rd but forgot about Prado. So bench it is for the big man. Still Lee's bat doesn't scare me. He's a lifetime .237 hitter at Turner Field and has only hit 8 HRs there, pretty cruddy at Citi Field too. Not too hot at Land Shark either. He's a .300 hitter at Citizens so thats threatening, but those numbers are from when he was younger. With the Cubs he hasn't been the same player in the last year and a half.

What? Kendrick has been pretty damn good this season, Blade. I'm not sure what your expectations are for him, but for a 5th starter, his numbers are great. I can almost say I have more faith in him than Blanton at this point. Kendrick will definitely have a shitty start here and there, but he has given us some great performances this season.

I'll take a 4-4.50 ERA from our 5th starter all day, every day. We can't have 5 Halladay's in the rotation.

Plus, if we make the playoffs, those guys become less of a factor as the Phils switch to a 3 man rotation in a 5 game series and a 4 man rotation after that.

What? Kendrick has been pretty damn good this season, Blade. I'm not sure what your expectations are for him, but for a 5th starter, his numbers are great. I can almost say I have more faith in him than Blanton at this point. Kendrick will definitely have a shitty start here and there, but he has given us some great performances this season.

I'll take a 4-4.50 ERA from our 5th starter all day, every day. We can't have 5 Halladay's in the rotation.

Plus, if we make the playoffs, those guys become less of a factor as the Phils switch to a 3 man rotation in a 5 game series and a 4 man rotation after that.

Yea but he's also terrible in half his games at the same time. Its ok now I guess since we are in the WC lead and only 2.5 games back from Atlanta, but a month ago we were almost 8 games back and this clown was blowing games left and right.

Its either excellence or a game where he's got you on the edge of the seat because you see him throw 25-30 pitches in 1 goddamn inning. He's just not consistent. For now this is all we have to put out there. Moyer would have been a kickass 5th starter, but he's out and now we had to trade JA Happ, because he's the only pitcher on staff at the time that had value enough for the Astros, obviously Hamels and Doc weren't goin to be moved.

I know in the playoffs he won't be pitching, but the dude's a head case. I hope there is a kid we can call up next spring that is way more reliable than him.
