It looks like the Titanfall beta is looking more and more like a sure thing according to this screen capture taken from the Origin website earlier today. It has since been removed-

An Alpha was scaled down? Wow, that's weird.

I still find it interesting that it was only an Alpha consideing the game release in about 1 1/2 months.

Respawn said if they were to use a beta, it would be used for gameplay testing.

But it's not a timed exclusive and there was never any evidence of it being a timed exclusive. It was just a rumor that picked up heat. Again this is what Respawn said though so we probably shouldn't believe it and it may just come out on PS4 first!

Yea, given EA's shady practices, I think I'll be waiting until this is officially released and patched before purchasing.

According to a leaked GameStop poster, the beta will launch on February 14th and run through February 19th and appears to be a GameStop pre-order exclusive.

How was it a rumor? One of the Respawn guys responded to a tweet in which they clearly said it was meant to be a timed exclusive but "things changed". I think Swarley was the one that posted the tweet.

And again with you being so defensive. I never said don't believe everything a developer says, I just said you can't believe everything they say. Two completely different things. Developers and publishers will say tons of shit just to put a positive spin on things.
