Wow, that's definitely the best I've ever seen it. I don't think I can bring myself to pull the trigger though, as big a fan as I am it's not a wise decision for me at this time.

It also gets into the failures of state and local government and bureaucracy. Basically the main character is Baltimore. Very awesome look at the socioeconomic highs and lows of post industrial urban America.

what does owning a tv have to do with paying $75 for a set of dvd's i can get for free?

so what is the big appeal of this show anyways....i watched 2 shows so far and im not seeing what the big deal is

Well, I'm gonna guess that you pay a cable or satellite bill. Why pay for that when you can download/stream most everything on your computer?

its not a bad show at all. its interesting and good. But i read reviews saying how excellent it was. i also remember reading on vsn that the show starts slow in season.

i got 2 seasons dl so i am gonna continue....just not seeing the hype yet

i do, but i also have a family and means having cable.
 
The 2nd season is considered the weakest but I like it just fine. Third and fourth seasons are the pinnacle though. The kids you get to know in S4 make it very personal because you grow attached to each of them.

The characters are what makes the show so great for me. After a while they start to feel like actual people. I have had entire days ruined by certain things that happen to the characters.
