Top 10 Free Agents Making an Impact

Funny that two former Redskins are on the list, but I called it for both of them.

Carlos Rogers was always demonized by Redskins fans because he has :turrible: hands. But there are very few guys in the NFL that can cover like Rogers can. He flew under the radar playing with some big names in Washington, but he can get the job done and do it well. I like the addition of Josh Wilson, but would have liked that addition even more if we kept Rogers too.

As for Andre Carter, he wasn't a fit in the 3-4 defense. While I like what the defense has done for us this year, I don't think you change everything in one off-season and take strengths away from arguably your best defensive player, which Carter was in 2009. He was a class act during the scheme change, and I knew he would respond with a solid season for the Pats this year.
 
I was completely wrong about letting Tully go. Barrett Ruud is fucking awful.

Hopefully that pussy stays hurt for the remainder of the season so we can let Colin McCarthy continue to destroy teams in the middle.
 
No Plaxico Burress, he's finally got his legs under him and looks like he might get 8+ TD's this season. Also he's on a cheap 1 year contract.

Michael Koenan, Tampa Bay Bucs, Punter

Contract: Six-year, 19.5 Million

Impact: Immeasurable. Koenan can boom it and has done plenty (understatement) of it this season. Bucs obviously wanted to make him a big part of the game plan moving forward and is undoubtedly doing just that consistently week in and week out with a plethora of 3 and outs, penalty ladened stalled drives and overall piss poor production from Tampa's offense. The only thing that has stopped Koenan from seeing the field is QB Josh Freeman targeting the other teams receivers (DB's) otherwise Koenan is earning every bit of his contract.
