Personally, I thought it was pretty entertaining!
The premise of switching out lead characters every season sounds very intriguing to me. It seems like now a days TV actors stick with their characters for way too long. It's almost like they (TV Actors) see it as a cash cow they're going to milk for as long as they can, or just wait until they get the "call up to the majors" aka the Movies. Switching out lead roles every season will probably keep the show fresh and prevent it from becoming stale in season three. For once a TV series can finally poach top tier Movie actors!
It's not TV... It's HBO!
Anyway did anyone else feel like they were back in 2008 trying to find Easter eggs/clues in the back ground!?!
I thought it was odd Rust and Mr. Fonteno both had crucifix's above their bed. Also, in the last scene they seemed to make sure Rust posed right in front of a crucifix at the Fonteno house. That and they keep teasing the tattoo on Rust's right arm, which I think is going to maybe be a key piece of insight to his character.
After watching my first episode, I agree with most, very dialogue heavy and character driven. I'll probably have to watch it a second time to pick up on everything! Call me crazy, but I like a crime plot drawn out over the course of an entire season. Never was a fan of the cop dramas that mainly get a case solved in 45 mins like CSI.
If anything this show is a nice change of pace in between Sci Fi/Horror/Fantasy shows I watch like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. I need something to take the place of Breaking Bad, this could be it
