TW10: My First Hole in One!

Hit my first hole in one on TW10 today!!!

I was playing tournament challenge, the TPC Sawgrass challenge against Luke Donald where you have to match or beat his score of -5 on the front nine, I'm playing on Pro difficulty. Came up to the eighth hole (Par 3, 215 yds), chose to go with a 3 iron. I added some right spin to the ball, it contacted just short of the green, and that right spin sent it on the perfect angle as it bounced up on the green and went in the hole.

Wish I could've captured a replay of it...I tried, but I don't know how to do it on the 360.

Naturally, I won the challenge. I went bogey free, and finished -8...three strokes better than you have to finish to win the challenge. Not including the hole in one, I birdied six of the eight holes.

My average skill is now a 9.9:

10.1 Power (+1.5 equip. boost)
9.9 Accuracy (+1.0 equip. boost)
8.3 Short Game (+0.5 equip. boost)
11.5 Putting (+1.5 equip. boost)

BTW, I wish we could cap all our values at 7.5 ... and that they'd drop the stupid equipment boosts.
There should be an option for that.
I don't want my ratings going past 7.5 or the game becomes unrealistic.

Now that my golfer is creeping into 9.5-10 range, my scores are dropping.

I figure once I get jacked up around 12 or so, I'll be consistently under by a few strokes.


I guess the best we can do is throw on all the options to as difficult as possible going forward? I dunno.

I played with 3 or 4 guys who consistently shoot around 4 to 6 under per 9 over the weekend, on TOUR Pro, with very fast greens, long rough, etc... I actually played multiple 4 person matches (alt shot, best ball, etc.) with each of them... so theres no way around it. low scores are gonna happen.

i was -7 thru 8 on tour pro last night against some dude and lost 2DN. he was ranked 44 overall but still. last year on tour pro i struggled to break 40 over 9 holes

Buy advanced drivers, wedges, woods, etc... and lower your sweet spot.
Suddenly, that 80% driving accuracy goes down. So do those easy chips.

Seriously, you should do it now ... if you're interested in simulation style play.

same. i'm not complaining, the game is a lot of fun... there are just going to be low scores. lowering your sweet spot just makes you better... it's not hard to hit the ball straight off the tee or from the fairways on tour pro.

That's insane.
Anyone who says that isn't doing it.
Lowering sweet spot can improve the length of your clubs, but it increases your margin for error.
30% sweetspot for driving too high. Push it down to 20.

its still insanely easy to hit the ball straight. mine is at 22% and i hit nearly every fairway. coupled with the added distance, this clearly makes you better

I bought an "advanced" club. It gives no equipment boost.
And, yes, it's made the game way harder.
Congratulations on never missing a fairway, greatestgamaeva. You're my new hero.
