yeah he beat an elite group of fighters in TUF then that manute bol lookin mfer struve. buttt if he does beat JDS its hard not to give him a shot.

jds-nelson sort of reminds me of crocop/bumzaga. basically trying to get JDS a title shot by giving him someone who seemingly isnt as good, but who knows.

Lesnar. He wasn't dominant, but he got his ring rust off, got a good scare, and still pulled off the win. Even against a guy as big as Carwin, when Brock brought him to the ground, he absolutely covered him. Brock has the physical advantage over everyone in the group.

Who are the current top 5 UFC HWs?

Seems like the top 4 are pretty much set, even with carwin only having a 4 minute tank he is still pretty destructive and a top contender in there division, so who is the 5th at this point?

Brock, Cain, JDS, Carwin are locks, who is the 5th?

Is the Roy Nelson number 5?
 
Its pretty much either Nelson or Muurr at this point. I think SF is probably deeper in terms of their top 5 with Fedor, Reem, Werdum, Silva, Arlovski. The only thing is, after them, there's Cormier who has tons of talent but is unproven, Rogers who's pretty much considered a bum at this point, and Lashley who has looked impressive, but who knows how good he is, his 5 wins are all over cans. The UFC has way more depth after their top 5 with proven fighters like Nelson/Muurrr, Nog, Herring, Rothwell, Yvel, Cro Cop, Duffee, Russow, Gonzaga, etc. None of them are really world beaters, and some of them have names bigger than their actual performance value at this point in their careers, but the depth is there. The top 4 are just at a higher level at this point than the rest of the division.

I just want to do a 5 on 5 thread, but want to see who is the number 5 UFC guy, right now I guess it's between Mir and Nelson

If Brock can absorb 57 Carwin punches he (on paper) shouldnt have problems with cotton ball cain or JDS.

Those 2 guys have been improving rapidly though. Im pretty sure they fight brock before fighting each other.
