Fuck Bitches, Get Wawa.
I posted this in the AHS thread but this show will interest many people that could give a shit less about AHS:
It looks excellent and has a great cast on paper. I usually hate when celebs voice parts, though, as I think voice actors do a hell of a lot better.
I'll try to update this thread as we learn more.
According to an FX press release, David Hornsby, Scott Marder, and Rob Rosell of the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creative team will work with Adam Reed and Matt Thompson of Archer's animation department on a cartoon series called Unsupervised. Whispered about for months now, the working titled of the show was Townies.
The animated series will be based on the trials and tribulations of two fifteen-year old latch-key kids. If you're thinking that the concept sounds an awful lot like a rip-off of Beavis and Butthead, worry not. "It differs from Beavis And Butt-head in that these boys are both optimists who always try to do the right thing, rather than trying to set those sorts of people on fire," say the A.V. Club's Sean O'Neal.
Unsupervised is set to air in January 2012 and will feature the voices of Kristen Bell, Kaitlin Olson, Justin Long, Romany Malco, Alexa Vega, and Fred Armisen.
Not that you need me to tell you this, but damn, does this show sound awesome and promising? FX is creating quite a niche for itself in the world of comedy. With Sunny, Archer, Louie, Wilfred, and now Unsupervised on its roster, the cable channel is fast becoming the go to destination for adult-oriented chuckles.
While you're waiting for more news about Unsupervised, check out Mike Proper's review of It's Always Sunny in Philadlphia's season premiere, "Frank's Pretty Woman."
