USC missing some major contributors for bowl game

McKnight, McCoy and two others will be out for the Emerald Bowl. I still think they'll handle BC, who suck hard away from Chestnut Hill. But this could make it interesting.

Jesus, that leaves us with Bradford and jack in the backfield. (Actually, theres still Tyler, but he's inexperienced, and Havili, but he's a fullback) Losing McCoy hurts bad, he's been pretty big for us this year and he's really helped Barkley over the middle

I have a friend who had a class with McKnight a couple years ago and he said Mcknight would show up once every few days and when he did show up he'd just have his earphones on, hoodie over his head, head down on the table and pretty much sleep the entire time.

I really will not be surprised at all if USC loses this one. They have very little interest in playing this game. Same reason why Oregon State got handled by BYU so easily.

Got lost in the mix.

USC had too many backs and Gable had some fumbling issues that put him in PC's dog house.

he didn't have the size/power that Bradford and Johnson have and he didn't have the speed/pass catching ability that McKnight has.

Just too much talent in the backfield, guys gotta get weeded out.

you want me to be blunt- the fact is I do get it. You guys are so one dimensional in your thinking that you cant understand how correct and insightful that I am.

You cant convince me that a team who's goal every year is a national title at best, BCS game at worst, will be all excited to play in the Deez Nuts Bowl. Some of those kids will not get up for this game, and quite frankly, the coaching staff might not, either.

You see it all the time...certain coaches treat subpar bowl games like an extra scrimmage...bonus preparation for the next season.

I don't buy the Seniors not caring about this game. For a few of them this will be the last chance for them to show their abilities on a national level. To half-ass it, would hurt their draft standings.

Plus, I would think pride would keep them from wanting to get embarassed.

the emerald bowl is not going to make much of a difference for the seniors that are going pro.

remember, these players are kids. literally 18-22 year olds. they are probably more looking forward to the after parties than the game itself.

do they want to win? of course. will they cry if they lose? fuck no. they won't think twice about it. they'll move on to next year or to the league or whatever the hell they care about, football isn't their life and winning the emerald bowl sure as shit isn't going to make them feel good about their season.
