Volume 4,693: All-Madden sucks

I have become absolutely convinced All-Madden sucks.

In my game online vs. Buddha, he has Aaron Kampman isolated on Colston.
I call a deep post ... Kampman of course is on Colston for the entire play.


IMO ... that fag at OS who says "pro" level is the only level that respects player ratings is dead on.

If Buddha is stupid enough to leave Kampman isolated on Colston and doesn't get a pass rush on .... he should pay.

IMO, All-Madden is a crutch for manual and non-manual players. If you're stupid enough to put Kampman on Colston without a pass rush, you should get your ass kicked, manual skill or not.

Hey now...Tramond Williams was lined up on Colston....when Colston made his break Kampman picked him up...i didnt leave Kampamn on him.

WTF is the difference? So dumb things happen in a video game from time to time. If you put it on Pro, the good players will still win, just the score will be 81-64 instead of 31-14.

that was going to be my point as well, Colston is probably the slowest starting WR on the game.


I understand your frustrations though Dave in my game with Houtz i threw a streak to Matt Jones (88 speed) and DE philip merling(72 speed) ran 30 yards with him and picked it off.

AllPro seems to be pretty good. last night VD was burning slow LB all game but had problems with CBs. i could also thread passes into coverage without having to worry about super LBs

It's not about All-Madden. It's about the speed threshold slider. Having that thing at 50 is ridiculous. It should be at around 30. Then speed actually matters.

All Madden juices the Defense up to the point everyone (even the shitty players are stars). it is pretty annoying to play online. All Pro is the best IMO. Playing on Normal speed on All Pro vs a human and the game is really good.

But too bad EA only allows that in Local head to head games.

I honestly can't tell the difference between the 2. I've played over 80 ranked AP games and I also play in a franchise where it is on AM.

I'm 2-2 in the franchise with the Browns.

Game 1 - joined the chise last and my opponent won. 0-1

Game 2 - Lost to the Broncos (played the cpu/no owner) 0-2...had over 300 yards passing and Braylon had a 90yd. Moreno had a couple BS runs with broken tackles.

Game 3 - Beat the Ravens (human owner) but was down 14-0 before I could blink my eyes. I came back and won 20-17. The Ravens D is souped up anyway so I knew I was iin for a battle.

Game 4 - Destroyed the Bengals (cpu) 42-17. I had 511 yards passing!!! That's the most yards I have ever had in my Madden life I think. Braylon had another 90 yd TD. I picked the D apart and also scored on a long screen pass.

I also lab a lot with MadSci and he rolls with the Raiders and I see just many broken tackles with McCheesen on AM as AP.

AP/AM is all mental to me...when something happens people say, "it's because it's on AP or AM and the same when something doesn't happen. I'm over seeing a LB run step for step with a WR...I just try and wait another second now and hope for a lil separation.

I can tell the difference and when I compared the two in practice mode, I was convince that All Pro is more realistic and the way to go. I haven't even touched Madden the last couple days, because I don't feel like seeing my D-line getting held for 7 seconds and LB's skying for tip balls and interceptions.

i too can tell the difference. like i said i can thread the needle on passes and also get the ball over the head of LBs without them skying 10 ft to grab the int

ok well i definitely dont mind playing all pro, so if any of you want to just play some ranked games then challenge me sometimes. With the patch they are bumping ranked games up to 7 minute quarters to make up for accelerated clock, that should be fun times.

That accelerated clock thing is stupid with 7-minute quarters.

I agree with Aso21, the speed threshold thing is huge. I have mine set at 20 for offline play.

I think this is where other ratings besides speed should come into play. Route running vs man coverage, etc

the ai isn't going to take into account for every players statistical rating every play. there's no f'ing way this game is that complex. especially when ea facks up the smallest simplest shit.
