VSD Poll: Who will win the AFC North in 2011?

The Bengals. Their defense isn't that great. However, they've got a Pro Bowl QB now, a bunch of great receivers, and Cedric Benson proved last season that he's the real deal.

Ravens take the division, I think the Steelers regress but just sneak into the playoffs. Browns improve and be a thorn in the side of many teams... the Bengals continue to suck.
 
The Steelers suffer the superbowl loss hangover and the Ravens take the division. The Bengals bottom feed and will likely have the worst record in football.
 
we have a soft schedule and havent lost anyone on defense, so i think we will still win the div. the bungles could go 0-16 and the ravens will at least make the playoffs. the browns are the new houston texans.
 
Steelers always seem to win this division. Can't see any reason why that will change this year. The Steelers are like Coca-Cola, you can invest your money in the company and they will always give you your dividend.

You're a moron. You've always hated on the Steelers, ever since Super Bowl XL anyways. It's the same exact team as last year. The only players they lost were shitty or backups. Regress? Go fuck yourself.
 
I don't know what the Steelers did to get better. Remember the Super Bowl loser trend of missing the playoffs or faltering early.

Cards: Lucky to have Warner, otherwise a shitty team. Next season finished 10-6 First in NFC West.
Patriots: Next season finished 11-5 and 1st in AFC East.
Bears: Made it to the SB in a watered down NFC. The next season they gave up on Thomas Jones and had terrible QB inefficiencies. 7-9 3rd in NFC North.
Seahawks: Still a watered down NFC. Finnished 9-7 1st in NFC West.


In fact, five of the last ten Super Bowl losing teams finished the next season 1st in their division. The trend is if you lose the Super Bowl, you have a 50/50 chance of winning your division the next season. The odds are better for teams with deeper rosters. When you look at the teams that didn't finish 1st in their division, these were teams that weren't that deep, and losing one or two of their stars even for a couple of games, proved to be detrimental to the teams success. The Steelers however have proven in the previous years to be able to win games with plenty of injuries. The trend theory doesn't hold water.

Because most importantly they are the team that's had the problem with repeating.

2006 - (year after making it to the superbowl) went 8-8 (missed the playoffs)
2009 - (year after making it to the superbowl) went 9-7 (missed the playoffs)
