VSN SimCity Signup Thread

Looks like we'll be starting out with a practice region for a week or two so everyone can get the game and get their feet wet with all the new stuff in SimCity. It'll be nice to have a practice region for people to test out different types of cities, trading and whatnot.

So if you want in on the VSN SimCity region, then put your name down and vote for which region you think we should go with. Please put down your Origin name as well. Also, if you want to volunteer to set the region up and send the invites out, then speak up. Would be nice to have a SimCity vet being at the helm of that (and someone on the east coast who gets the game before everyone else).

I'll sign up, i would be willing to set up the region but it's gonna take me a while to download off origin. Hopefully they don't wait till 3am EST to let us download it. BTW my origin is leftwich86

Game comes out at midnight tonight. Sign up here with your Origin account name and Lefty will invite you to the private region when it is set up. Instead of just doing a city by yourself offline, here you can build your city and trade goods and services with neighboring cities that are being run by fellow VSNers. Also, you can work with your 3 other local cities to build a Great Works area that will bring services or tourists to your area (international airport, arcology, solar farm or space center).

nothing...just pauses it...I think you may earn some small bucks though.

When you aren't online your city pauses. People can still purchase services and whatnot from your city, but your city wont progress or anything until you come back online (iirc).

I got it from Amazon with a $20 Amazon credit. It delivers tomorrow. I wanted the Mac version but it won't be out for awhile so I'll be running it in Parallels instead on my 27" iMac

I have a dentist appt after work tomorrow, then I'm going to Walmart and picking up The Show, coming home and probably playing SC5 until I pass out
