I think Detroit plays well, has a lead late, and allows two late touchdowns to lose by 10. Stafford and Best play well, defense shows to be a problem (especially the secondary, which should get torched this week).

Detroit - 20

I don't think Martz could ask for a better situation to start his new job:

1. Inexperienced secondary with question marks at nearly every position.
2. Linebacking corps that definitely is not solid and very questionable.
3. Defensive line that hasn't shown a consistent pass rush or ability to stop the run.
4. Former spot where he coached and was incorrectly blamed for their poor performance (which was also their best showing in the last 9 seasons).

Add that all together and I see Cutler throwing for 300+ yards and the Bears winning the game. I hope the Lions win, but our defense is still awful. Plus last year, we never got to within 14 points of the Bears in either game, so I wouldn't think it would be too close.

I disagree with your 3rd point. I believe the Lions will really get after Cutler. Avril - Williams - Suh - Vanden-Bosch I think will show to be a pretty good defensive line. If Cutler can get enough time in the pocket or scramble to buy time the Bears will be able to torch that secondary. But that he'll get time I don't think is any guarantee at all.
 
As a Bears fan, I'm pissed that we won. We were given that game. The NFL fucked the Lions.
