Week 10 NFL thoughts...

That's basically all I have to add to Senser's quips.

But Williams hasnt come back from anything, he was always terrible.

*The Browns were a Chansi Stuckey fumble away from beating the Jets. Mark Sanchez still makes bad decisions, but he ended up winning (again). Hmm.

I don't get this...don't all QB's make bad decisions throughout the game?..SMH.

He had maybe two throws he messed up, the one that Elam should have picked off and one he threw into double coverage to Keller in the endzone (I think Folk missed the FG too that drive).

Yet he makes big plays and is proving he's clutch and plays best in the 4th quarter.

He escaped the Browns grasps like at least a half-dozen times it seems, and this was after he injured himself. That throw to Cotchery to where only Cotchery could catch it was amazing. He hit Keller on a big time 1st down in the 4th. And of course nailed Holmes on a slant to win the game...Sanchez is well on his way to becoming a top tier QB.

I still believe McNabb is the right decision for the Skins. Give him a WR. When your starting WR played Arena last year he may as well been in the XFL.

I take it you didn't actually watch the game? Did you miss the play when the Jets were pretty much in FG range at the end of OT, but Sanchez decided to heave the ball into double coverage and got intercepted? That was one of the dumbest throws I have ever seen.

Jets weren't in FG range. Folk missed 3 FG's before that point. And as a matter of fact they called for a bomb. It was a low risk high reward. Either jets get a Pi call, Braylon catches it, it's picked off or incomplete. Only thing Sanchez didn't do was heave it up earlier because Braylon had a step on his guy. The dumbest throw in your eyes somehow set up the jets to win the game...go figure.

Nah you dont make sense saying that's the dumbest throw you have seen, especially since it ended up being better than a coffin corner punt. You don't want to throw an Int obviously but it pinned Cleveland deep and their run game was ineffective the whole 2nd half. They tried to trick the jets by going deep but that served as a timeout for the Jets. That was key.

Plus the jets were kicking into the wind and the jets really had no confidence in him kicking again. Sorry that your wrong bra, seems like it hurts...poor guy.

*Great work by the Giants. A week ago on Mike and Mike, they were discussing if the Giants were the best team in the NFL! HA!

One loss doesn't mean anything.

A week ago, the Patriots got their asses kicked by the Browns.

A week ago, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens were considered the best team in the AFC.

A week ago, the Broncos lost to the 49ers.

What does all this mean? Absolutely nothing. Too much football left to be played. Nobody is unbeatable. Giants could still be the best team in the NFC. What team hasn't had a letdown yet?

Second, if the Browns DB could have slipped Edwards' tackle, they could have had a big return. Third, even with the INT at the 3 and no runback, Mangini grossly mismanaged the clock, giving the Jets another opportunity to win.

So, is Sanchez so awesome that he can also see into the future and know that all these things were going to happen?

It's just better to tier the teams now.

I consider the Giants, Eagles and Falcons the class of the NFC. While in the AFC you have the ravens, steelers, Jets and patriots at the top tier there.

You're over analyzing a loss. It's 1 loss. Doesn't mean anything. Doesn't mean they are the best, doesn't really mean they aren't the best. Everyone loses, including the best.

Only thing I agree is that mangini fucked up the clock management. Since he's so deep in jet territory he should have played for the tie with the time being put into consideration. 2nd IIRC, Simms said Edwards had a step before Sanchez eventually threw the ball which was underthrown. 3rd, he wasn't going to slip a tackle when the CB came down with the ball inside of Edwards arms. Just a lot of what ifs from your side.

And a bunch of people are now trumping the Pats as the best team in the AFC/NFL and just got smacked by the Browns 2 weeks ago.

It just doesn't mean anything at all. Every week people will label so and so as "the best" and every week that team can lay an egg. Since when has it ever mattered who the "best" is in week 10? And how often has the best team in week 10 been the best team in week 16?

Just not much to talk about, that's all. Giants could go on to win the rest of their games and this loss won't mean a damn thing. Or they could go on to lose all their games and this loss still won't mean anything. So basically, this loss doesn't mean anything.

They settled for the risk and rewards of what that play would come out to. They were fully aware (according to the pressers of Sanchez and schotty) of what that play would produce for good or for bad.

No, you don't get it. You make it seem as if the options were Edwards catching the ball, Edwards drawing a PI, or Haden picking the ball off at the 3 and getting tackled. It would be IMPOSSIBLE for anyone who isn't omniscient to know that those were the options. It was a stupid play, a bad read, and a bad throw.
