Not so fast there buddy. Just because the Bears may be struggling a little bit right now doesn't mean "it won't happen". Being a GB fan since the 60's, you can pretty much throw out records and season history when these two teams meet. It's always a dog fight. I hope GB can win, but won't at all be surprised if "da bears" take it.
 
Bucky is right. It doesn't matter when the Bears-vs-Packers game comes around. I would love to see the Bears smack Green Bay right in the mouth.

Depends if Ron Turner wakes up out of his coma or not.
 
i feel like the packers are the shakiest 8-4 team ever. i dont know. ever since the favre beat downs, it just feels like we are secretly 1-11.

also, despite his play, jay cutler doesnt suck. he can actually be a really good quarterback sometimes. i really think its the lack of talent around him. but Cutler is good enough to compensate for his lack of talent.... sometimes. before the first green bay chicago game I called my dad (a die hard bears fan) and jokingly asked "I wonder if we will get good jay cutler or bad jay cutler today."

needless to say i think this one is far from a lock and according to my cell phones 13-14 score my gut was right

I've never seen a 1-11 team with the #1 defense in the league.
 
I can't believe the Bears are winning 14-13 right now. WR Brandon Aromashadu is guaranteeing his roster spot for next season right now.
 
Cutler is just begging for another interception. He's thrown about 3 balls the Packers had a better chance of catching the last drive alone.
 
statistics dont tell the whole story. this isnt baseball where all that matters is numbers. this is football. passion. momentum. confidence. coming through in the clutch. all these things matter infinitely more than statistics in football. its why there are so many first round busts.

i go back to harrington alot but please allow me one more trip to this well. harrington was a guy who was put in a system that wasnt suited to his talents on a team that didnt have any mojo. in fact, detroit ever since barry sanders retired is a perfect example of why statistics dont work for football. all those first round picks had amazing statistics in college. if stats told the whole story, and you assign blame for harringtons failure on the system he ran, then logic would dictate that when he went to another team, he would light it up. but by then, his mojo was gone. he was shaky. no confidence. they broke him.

mike mccarthy is an alright coach, but hes just alright. aaron rodgers does not come up big when it matters. in both packers vikings games, there were moments when i was sitting here saying "come on man, this is why we pay you the big bucks, its not your garbage time TDs against awful teams, its shoving a touchdown up brett favres ass and keeping this thing close." he fails at those times. its not due to a lack of talent around him. he's simply not that good. im not saying he cant be, but hes not right now. the team just doesnt feel ready to do anything real yet. i dont have numbers. i just watch football.

I've been saying this about Rodgers all along. When you look at it though, the Packers have lost to one bad team. They'll be 9-4 in a few minutes with a solid shot at the wildcard spot, and I can't argue too much with that considering we have the youngest team in the entire NFL.
 
I've known that the Bears season was over several weeks ago. But the non-calls and complete b.s. calls are making me sick. And the worst part is that a majority of these calls have been at home which truly amazes me.

I can think of three crucial calls in this game that should've went the Bears way and didn't. I honestly think they they woould've made a difference in the final score.

Granted, the Bears played like shit in the beginning and put themselves in a HUGE hole. But these calls are pissing me off beyond belief.

That unnecessary roughness call agianst Grant made me want to break my fucking tv. Yet Aromashadu legitamately gets hit out of bounds and there's no call. Fuck the NFL refs.

The play out of bounds WAS a correct call. The player was out of bounds and he got hit, he was already showing commitment of running out of bounds as well. It was a correct call.

Bears didn't play great at all, neither did the Packers, but in the end, the Packers came out on top.

As far as the TD I do need to review that because I was messing with my pellet stove at the time.

The Grant call was b.s., no matter what. He barely stepped out and was continiuing to run up the sideline when he was hit. There was no way the defender had any idea his toe touched out of bounds when he hit him.
