Yup. You get 4 to 5 ABs a game and you can't be bothered to sprint a whopping 90 feet. There are quite a few opportunities for guys to get an extra base if they just sprinted out of the box.

Pitchers who issue a lot of walks. The best hitters in the league are lucky to get a hit 33% of the time and you let them have it for "free".

Aside from intentional walks, Greg Maddux allowed ONE 3-0 count to a batter in 1997. There's something wonderful about throwing a 76 pitch complete game.

Went with this, and "other". Other being when guys don't run to 1B on a dropped third strike to force a throw.

In general, when it's obvious players aren't playing as hard as they can. It's not the epidemic some old timers make it out to be, but stuff like not busting up the line drives me nuts. When you run hard, fielders can't relax and some will press. Even if it means one or two extra times on base per year, it's still worth the effort.

And aside from that standpoint, I simply find it rude to the paying customer. The only thing you owe me is effort. You're a professional, act like it.

I detest walks as well, but i'm not sure i'd consider that a "pet peeve". Some pitchers just suck and don't have control. That's flat out frustrating more than a pet peeve for me.

Being over-reliant on the sacrifice bunt, and doing so with your best hitters. Matheny seems to do this a lot, although it hasn't been as much of a problem this year as it was last year. I can't begin to count how many times where the lead-off guy would start things off with a double, and Mike would send the next guy (him not being a pitcher) up to bunt him over to third.

I don't care about the Wave. I've been experiencing it at Dodger Stadium since I was a kid and when I hear people griping about it I feel like they're just being elitist.

My biggest pet peeves are bozo color-announcers like Steve Lyons and dumb sacrifice bunts.
