I finished Arrested Development (3 seasons), Six Feet Under (5 seasons), and got caught up with True Blood (3 seasons, finale in 10 days).

I want to watch The Wire before I get into Lost. I know Lost is pretty damn long so I want to watch other things before that.

Thinking about Sopranos, Californication, etc.
 
Californication is a good choice, Season 4 starts in January.

Sons of Anarchy is a great show as well, 2 seasons in and the third starts on Tuesday.

Ive been catching up on How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory recently.
 
Breaking Bad is up there with Dexter IMO. Not quite as good, but up there. Mad Men is supposed to be the tits but I've only seen a few episodes. Friday Night Lights is a good fucking show as well. FNL has some of the best acting you'll find on TV. The football scenes get kind of ridiculous/inaccurate at times but it's a dramatization. Worth a look for the ladies and the acting alone.

breaking bad is one of the most under rated shows there is, it seems a lot of people dont know about it but I love that shit
 
Watch Chuck because ti never had a normal schedule the first season only had 13 episodes, 2nd had 18, 3rd had 22. All are about 40 minutes.

Its very weird going from HBO and Showtime shows that are 55 minutes long then to a prime time show that is only 40 minutes. You can watch 3 episodes of prime time in the same time to watch 2 on HBO.

I just finished plowing through Breaking Bad myself, and it amazes me why the show isn't spectacularly popular. every scene is so intense, the performances are so great from everyone, every character is really interesting, and progressively grows more evil as the show goes on. the last few episodes of season 3 were definitely the best television ive seen since the wire.

californication is great too, has a little too much filler/dead end plots, and some really over the top moments, but every man should strive to be Hank Moody
 
I've decided to start Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Jumping into both a little late. I always enjoy going back and watching The West Wing.
