Whatever happened to Terrance Cody from Alabama?

Drafted by Baltimore, I think. He could barely stay on the field at Alabama, I doubt he's ever more than a situational player in the NFL.

Rookie nose tackle Terrence Cody hasn't really made his mark yet, but his teammates believe the second-round pick can make an impact.

"That’s the big baby of the bunch right now that has all the gifts," said middle linebacker Ray Lewis, who calls Cody "Big T.C."

"We’ve just got to start turning him loose a little bit, have fun with him. And, he’s really settling in already, which is a good thing. Nine times of out 10, when any player that has that type of talent starts to settle in, the next thing that comes, he starts to build confidence and confidence and confidence. You see what he did at Alabama, and now coming here, I just think his upside is great. He has a great upside.”

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Cody is still developing.

"He’s got to continue to work on: pad level and shedding blocks quickly so he can make more plays between tackle and tackle," Harbaugh said. "But he’s got all the ability in the world. He plays hard, he practices hard. He’s going to be a good player."

Ravens OLB Sergio Kindle (fractured skull) says his reactions and reflexes have been improving dramatically.
Kindle, who will not play this season, has been attending meetings and is able to lift weights and run. The second-round pick is rehabbing his career-threatening injury with the hopes of being ready for next season.

Cody has been playing a few snaps a game but that has less to do with his talent or ability and more to do with the fact that Ngata is one of the few (perhaps the only one) DTs in the league who legitimately plays nearly every defensive snap of the game, and he then is battling the always solid Kelly Gregg and Brandon McKinney for playing time. Would probably be hearing more about him if he was on a team that didn't have a pretty loaded defensive front.

It was a luxury pick at the time and it still is, next year when Gregg is gone is when they'll likely look to him to contribute more. When he's gotten in, he's looked pretty good at times and then pretty lost at times. It seems to me like once he gets the mental side of things down he's going to be a beast.

Kindle is always on the sidelines. Can't play this year, but he'll be competing for our LOLB spot most likely against Jarret Johnson if we choose to keep him.
