[ALL] Which Next-Gen Console Will You Buy?

What console will you guys be buying first or will you go with a PC?

I'm not so sure what i'll be buying right away, but I am leaning toward the the XBOX because of Forza 5. The XBOX also seems like it'll be a console for adults with it being a media center. The PS4 more for kids/teens with its $399 price tag and it being about the games. I'm going to wait a bit and see what games get released before I buy a console though.

I feel like we will see more people switch over to PCs now. Most people already have cable plans, so the One's big features would be a waste to them. You can get a solid gaming PC for a little more than the XBOX. Not everyone cares about better graphics and mods though, and a lot of people don't like dealing with updating drivers and what not. A lot of people are still scared to make the jump which is sad now a days.


Another thing is will PlayStation be able to have a more stable network since they're charging for online? Will the PS Store work faster? PSN has seemed to always have some sort of issue whether the network was really slow or just down. Most time is was just maintenance, but it still seemed to happen more than XBOX Live going down. The PSN web store has made buying games much easier now. Especially since the new store is so much slower.


Can the XBOX be successful with the $499 price tag? Can people get over the Kinect?
It seems that pretty much everyone except Primetime is scared of the Kinect with it always listening and watching. The price, I believe, is what will keep most people from buying the One. $100 is a pretty big difference. Great to see that MS dropped the DRM though. If MS can avoid PR blunders from here on out I think they will be in good shape.

I've got a PC with room to upgrade my video card if I feel like it, and I'll probably just stick with that for the time being. Much better game prices as well.

As far as the Xbox One and PS4 go, I'm leaning PS4. The price is definitely a factor, and since you'll have to pay to play online regardless, PS+ will eventually bring better value. I also like how aggressive Sony has been with regards to indies since indies have been some of the best games of the past few years IMO.

ZOMG it's $100 cheaper so I'm going with the PS4. I will use that $100 to recoup from the fucking absolute rape job Sony gave me when I paid $700 fucking dollars for the PS3, which was absolutely worthless the first year of it's existence. ZOMG it comes with the Kinect, WHY WHY WHY? Brb gonna go buy a PS Move with the $100 I saved.

For me, it's PS4 day 1 and XB1 maybe right after Christmas or so. I'm in it for the games, I have plenty of other devices for media so that doesn't sway me at all.

Staying loyal to the brand and getting the PS4 at launch. I had a 360 for 3 years and got tired of dealing with the RROD, so I sold it and got the PS3. Can't say I missed it since my gaming experiences have been better than they were with Microsoft's console.
