Peyton Manning has a lot to prove this season because expectations are so high for him and the team. It will be considered a huge disappointment if the Broncos don't make the playoffs.

Tony Romo because he is in Dallas and they've failed to impress the last couple of seasons.

Matt Ryan - When Ryan broke into the league he was hyped as the next elite QB. Ryan's made the playoffs in 3 of his first 4 seasons as a starter but he has failed to win a playoff game. Ryan has been very good but not great, and he will need to win a playoff game in order to progress.

These guys are already established starters but they do have a lot to prove this season.

Too many one and dones, and this season he's got a guy who might be the real deal in Jones. He needs to win a playoff game and this season is the one to do it because I still believe NO is going to trip up.

If Matt Ryan doesn't make a playoff run this year, I think Mike Smith's seat might get a little hotter.

It's between Romo and Sanchez. You could argue for either.

With Manning, I was referring to living up to a $100M contract. He needs to win at least one playoff game to live up to this year alone in some people's minds. Not necessarily mine though.

As for Vick, he's only played 16 games once in his career and he's saying the Eagles are possibly on their way to a dynasty. He's upped his own expectations and it is most likely that he won't live up to them.

True, but Ryan won't be going anywhere. Ryan has pressure on him to win a playoff game, but his spot on the team is cemented. Winning a playoff game doesn't really change much for him.

It has to be Sanchez who's job is in jeopardy to a backup H-back.....people are waiting for Sanchez to fail. He is different from Romo, because people are sort of tired of the Romo discussion, so he doesn't have high expectations. If the Cowboys suck this year people will just say, meh. If the Jets suck people will point to Sanchez.

He's also got Orton on a three year deal sitting behind him as the backup, and if Romo doesn't come through, the Cowboys can look for a long-term replacement following the season.

yeah I'll say Romo, especially with their window of opportunity closing, and i'd say a split of the fans actually liking Romo, it's make or break for him.

I'm going to say Eli Manning. After 2 SBs he's still not considered a top 5 QB and plays second fiddle to..like ralaw said..a back up h back in his own town. All the while being Peytons little brother.

Philip Rivers should be listed as well IMO... The other big time QBs from his class now have two rings each and he's never even been to the Super Bowl yet despite playing with a high level of talent around him throughout his career.

Manning has to make it to at least the AFC title game to satiate the desires of many Broncos fans. His window is closing the fastest of all the QBs listed so he needs to not only get Denver to the playoffs but make a run as well to keep the Tim Tebow whispers from lingering.

Think I will go with Andy Dalton. After making the playoffs his rookie season, it will be hard to duplicate that success in his Sophomore year.
