Aaron Curry.
Oh, you meant for my team. Well lets see, if we would've gone Oher or Jerry at 20 then that would be my favorite pick, instead we draft a tight end. I guess I like Louis Delmas the best, only because he actually made sense.
Don't feel too bad...two of San Francisco's greatest needs going into the draft was a pass rusher and offensive line. Neither of which we drafted.
Of course, that's not to say that I'm not pleased with the way things panned out...I guess Singletary and the crew just didn't find one of those two positions that fit their scheme, which is fine. Better not to draft a guy than to waste a pick on drafting the wrong guy.
Favorite pick from my team: Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech - Of course...Michael Crabtree. What a fuckin steal at #10. That pick was something that I desperately wanted to see happen even before the offseason hit. Not too often does a fan's wildest dream come true. My wife happens to be a Texas Tech fan (I'm a Longhorns fan), and we had front row seats on the 45-yard line for that Texas/Texas Tech game in Lubbock. Yup, that Crabtree catch happened on my sideline. As excruciating as it was to see our national title hopes die on that field, I will still in awe of Crabtree...have been ever since his first college football game. The dude is an absolute beast, and I cannot wait to see what he does in the NFL. Hopefully he can become the next Rice/Moss/Harrison, etc., etc., etc. Your #1 go-to guys for years and years to come.
Least favorite pick from my team: Nate Davis, QB, Ball State - Really...Nate Davis? I just really don't understand this pick. The dude is an unconventional quarterback (doesn't use the laces, WTF?), and has a learning disability. Christ. Besides, I was ok going into the season with Smith/Hill/Huard. I dunno, maybe Davis will surprise me...but I fuckin doubt it.
Favorite pick from another team: Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland - Oakland brought the lulz.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I celebrated the uniform change with an order today...bought a white Patrick Willis jersey, and a red Michael Crabtree jersey (he's wearing #15).
