Who's disappointed you the most?

This is kind of a generalized question, but I'm going to answer it in 3 ways...feel free to answer it however you feel you've been disappointed.

1. Ryan Leaf,QB Washington State - I was the biggest Dan Marino fan, so towards the end of his career I started looking for the next great QB to follow. Unfortunately I jumped on the Ryan Leaf bandwagon...ugh...

2. Martez Wilson, LB Illinois - Seeing as how I'm a huge Illinois football fan I was super excited when Ron Zook put together a fantastic recruiting class despite only winning 2 games the previous year. While most of us know Arrelious Benn, on the defensive side was Wilson. Wilson was actually rated higher than Benn at the time. I'm still waiting for Wilson to shine, unfortunately I'll have to wait til next season as he's suffered a season ending injury this year.

3. Ron Turner, Head Coach Illinois - A lot of people, myself included blame Ron Turner for Illinois football being a cellar dwellar most of the past 2 decades. His lone shining moment at Illinois was the 2001 season in which the Illini went 10-2, losing to LSU in the Sugar Bowl. In that season, had the Illini beaten Michigan, they quite possibly could've played for the national championship. Turner is highly regarded as one of the worst recruiting coaches in Illinois history. Coincidentally, the 2001 season was his fourth season (when the freshmen he inherited turned seniors). After that season the Illini only enjoyed one more winning season under Turner. His overall record at Illinois was 35 wins and 57 losses, for a winning percentage of .380. Two of Turner's teams were winless in the Big Ten, going 0-8 in 1997 and again in 2003, and he is the only coach in the more than one hundred year history of Illinois football to lose eleven games in a season, which he also accomplished in those same two seasons.

You played two of the toughest run defenses in the league. He's not disappointing.

For me right now, Chuck Cecil by far.

1. Reggie Bush - He was supposed to be one of the best RBs to come in ages, but now he's a glorified slot receiver.

2. Larry Coker - Relied too much on Rivals.com for scouting and couldn't develop players he had. Effectively sunk the team after he couldn't ride off Butch Davis' talent anymore.

Frikkin Aaron Rodgers this season. I have him on my fantasy team, and hes gotten me 20 pts barely the last 2 weeks. I am 0-2, and would be 2-0 if he got atleast 5 pts more each week.

This year its definitely Peria Jerry. Has 1 tackle in his first 2 games and then goes down with a knee injury for the rest of the year. I think he was hurt in both games actually. Atlanta will probably draft another DT early in the draft this year.

I would say Rashaun Woods was a guy I expected huge things from and he completely unraveled.

Reggie, although from time to time may have a flash of brilliance, can never seem to run up and down the field.

The Packers offensive line. Only reason the first two games were close.

Chris Simms- Was supposed to be the next great thing, played well at times but never really put it together on a consistent basis.

Dennis Franchione- He just ruined my college football experience while I was at A&M.

Cedric Benson- I thought he was for sure going to be a feature back in the NFL, but he didn't start off so great in Chicago. I think the Bengals might be a good place for him to truely shine as a runner.

Antonio Bryant- Had so much potential while he was with the Cowboys and he just pissed it all away. Parcells and AB couldn't coexists.

Alex Boone - 5 star tackle, got beat any time he went up against a speed rusher and then just mailed it in his senior year. Not to mention saying he had completely cut out alcohol early in his senior year, then after the season he got arrested for being a drunken dumbass in California (After getting a DUI as a sophomore).

Right now I'm starting to get disappointed at Bob Sanders. A phenomenal athlete, one of the best defensive players in the league, but he is so god damn fragile! I don't how much longer I can spend watching the Colts D without Sanders.

Jake Delhomme- after the playoff game against Arizona I had to listen to all of my friends talk trash about him while I defended him and then his first game back he throws 4 picks, fuck beans!

Charles Rogers- the guy was going to be a freak, but then that damn collarbone.

Chad Henne,Mike Hart, and Jake Long- How do you have these guys for 4 years and not beat Michigan 1 time.

um a player is not gonna excel when he has a new position every year....next year he will probably be playing safety...and when he gets draft to a 3-4 team he is gonna be dirty as an olb

very good point. People forget that he was a DE in high school, played OLB his first 2 seasons, now this season he's MLB
