For those interested. I've been hearing a lot of the game is being redone since there wasn't a lot of time to work with it after THQ was closed.

I didn't play 2K14 at all. Didn't they redo a lot of stuff in that game to make it less gay. Online for wrestling games has always been unbearable. I will be buying this on PS4 though.

I didn't buy it either. WWE13 was a much better game than 12 though. THQ went under and there wasn't much time to make many major changes before releasing 2K14. I heard a lot of positive reviews, but some mixed- those were saying that the controls were once again clunky.

I got 2k14 in Feb because OS users recommended it and I regret it. I enjoyed 13 for a while but I didnt like 14 right out the gate.

I liked both '13 & '14 but I guess I'm not a big wrestling fan. I play it for a month and start playing NCAA FB (updating roster this year) and MLB the Show. I'll get it but will wait for another sale or it to hit $40, like I did last year. I got '14 part of Target B2G1 sale near Xmas.

Sting was confirmed to be in the game at E3. Brock Lesnar made it into the game as an unlockable character in WWE'12, so who knows if that is a precursor to Sting making a long-anticipated WWE run.

That's actually the only stuff I have watched really lol I still pop in time to time and check out the wrestling threads, occasionally the other sports forums too.

According to IGN, the $99.99 Hulkamania Edition of WWE 2K15 will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it will be a limited-edition package: 2K Games is only producing 25,000 units of the set. The bundle will come with a copy of WWE 2K15, along with a piece of the ring canvas from Hogan's appearance on the March 10, 2014, episode of WWE Raw. It will also include the following physical and digital extras:

a card featuring Hulkamania-era Hogan, hand-autographed by the man himself
a vinyl figure from the "Hollywood" Hogan days, made by Funko
two pre-order-exclusive playable Hulk Hogan characters

I was really looking forward to seeing the graphics on next gen. They certainly do not disappoint from that screenshot. Hopefully the crowd isn't entirely cardboard. Curious to see some gameplay as well.

The thing that distinguishes WWE from other live events is the crowd. I really wish they would acknowledge some of the chants that have become so popular and have them chanted by the crowd, but I don't think they go that far to appease the IWC. It would really go a long way to provide what I consider a huge detail for the game.

Through high quality cinematics and historic WWE footage, players will intimately explore two notable WWE rivalries: the bitter rivalry between Triple H and Shawn Michaels from 2002 to 2004, as well as WWE 2K15 cover Superstar John Cena and CM Punk’s spirited rivalry spanning 2011 to 2013.

"The moment Triple H ended his longtime friendship with ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ by slamming him with a Pedigree was a defining moment in WWE history,” said Chris Snyder, Vice President of Marketing at 2K. “No fan can deny the fierce competition marking the notorious battles waged between Cena and Punk. These two rivalries are firmly etched in WWE history, and 2K Showcase enables fans to take part in those memorable experiences."

2K Showcase will tell the epic history of the two rivalries through documentary-style video packages of classic WWE footage, authentic WWE Superstar commentary and cinematic cut scenes. In the 33 available matches across the rivalries, players will be tasked with completing a set of bonus historical objectives that will unlock new WWE Superstars, championship titles and alternate attire that can be used in all other WWE 2K15 game modes. With this wealth of unlockable content, players can recreate current rivalries or stage dream matchups between WWE Superstars of the past and present. Additional 2K Showcase rivalries will be made available via downloadable content following the game’s scheduled release on October 28, 2014, in North America and October 31, 2014, internationally.

To get the most realistic representations of Superstars for 2K Showcase and beyond, WWE 2K15 will feature full head scans for character models. For Shawn Michaels, that meant 2K actually bringing its scanning technology to HBK’s native Texas earlier this year to get the WWE Hall of Famer's likeness.

"To be a part of this game is an exciting thing for me and again, just very thankful to be a part of it," said Michaels. "As much as I try to keep up with the advancements, it's amazing what [2K does]. The graphics and the realness are nothing short of amazing and I'm excited to be a part of it."

Developed collaboratively by Yukes and Visual Concepts, a 2K studio, WWE 2K15 is not yet rated by the ESRB. WWE 2K15 is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, as well as Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system, and Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, on Oct. 28, 2014, in North America and Oct. 31, 2014, internationally. WWE fans who pre-order WWE 2K15 at any participating retailer will receive two playable Sting characters at no extra cost on launch day.

I'm wondering if the DLC related Showcases will be actual rivalries that happened, or if they plan on putting together one or two fantasy matches involving Sting. I wrote a brief piece for the front page that goes on tomorrow and I looked at possible matches, and that got me thinking whether or not that would be a possibility.

I also wouldn't mind to see Hogan and Sting chasing each other in WCW for the title.
