Alright, so a few days ago I popped in a brand new nba 2k13 I had just bought into my PS3, after putting in my email and fav team and everything, my PS3 just, turned off... I had no idea what had happened but I started looking into it and apparently, its a overheating issue, which is stupid because I hadnt even had it on in like a day, and it was only on for like maybe 5-10 minutes. I read a trick to get it to work is to unplug everything and let it cool down, I was like, ok, did that, didnt work, let alone the fact it had already been off for a day anyway. So now I have an OLD 40 GB PS3 that doesnt work, and what sucks more than just the fact i cant play my games is that now I cant play my Blu Ray movies, and of course I had just ordered some movies before it went YLOD on me. Was looking to get a used PS3 for cheap, but I dont want to drop money on a used system that may have the same issue, or even other ones. So what I'm thinking of doing is just getting a new Blu Ray player some time next week, and then in like a month, save up some money and just get a new PS3, and then a PS4 some time next year. I watch movies more than I play my games, but I'm just pissed it had happened right after I got a new game and movies.

And of course I just sold my 360 to my boss about 2 months ago.... If my laptop goes down, which it might, its been acting very erratic lately, my life would be over, was even joking with my dad about it and he was like, if that happens, you might have to do something like, read a book :gasp: Irony because I had just got World War Z today, I hope thats not a sign...
 
Yea, I have a cousin who can fix it for me for like $50 or so, but I've been thinking of upgrading my ps3 anyway, just need to copy game saves and stuff.
 
So yea, I decided to just get a new PS3, so I got the 500 GB Classic White Bundle that comes with 1 year of PS+ for free. Was listed for $300 on some sites but I got it for $250. Just hoping it gets here by the end of the week. I also got an HDMI cable with it, never used one before and everyone says how good it is, so I'll try it out. And since I cant remember my password for my main account on my old PS3, I decided to just make a new one. If you want to add me, it'll be Metropolis_Hero1, old one was like Melo15Man, so new one is a little better, and more updated, lol, I'll accept friend requests when I get the PS3.
