VSN Poster of the Year
There are usually a handful of players taken in the later rounds who end up being really good NFL players. Which guys from Day 2 of the draft (rounds 3 -7) do you think will bust out in the NFL? Here is my positional breakdown...
QBs: None. Maybe Rhett Bomar?
RBs: James Davis of Clemson usually played well every game. Could get an opportunity with the Browns.
WRs: Derek Williams and Deon Butler of Penn State are talented guys who probably didn't get utilized often enough in college. I think one or both of them can produce in the NFL.
TEs: Chase Coffman of Mizzou was IMO the best pass-catching TE prospect. That should count for something, no?
OL: Xavier Fulton of Illinois was originally a DL until switching midway through his college career. I think he can become a solid lineman in the NFL with some coaching. "Has all the tools".
DL: Ricky Jean-Francois of LSU was overshadowed by Tyson Jackson. LSU had some problems defensively, but I think their line was strong. Could be a good player for KC.
LBs: Marcus Freeman of OSU had a decent college career. Not a very good LB class overall, though.
DB: Morgan Trent of Michigan has a lot of experience. I think he could be a solid player for the Bengals. Not spectacular.
