When I think of 90s college QBs, I think of Peyton Manning. I should have Frazier ahead of Vick though, didn't even think of him. I also could have included Tim Couch but Vick is my choice just for the sheer excitement and buzz he brought to his team and university, which pretty much propelled them into elite college football for years to come.

No Shaun Alexander?

Over the other guys on this list, no. Ricky, Dayne and George are pretty much undeniable. That leaves only one RB spot up for grabs, and I went with Lawrence Phillips because he was one of the the most game breaking backs college football has ever seen. Alexander would be first team All-90s SEC but hardpressed to get on this list with 2 career yardage record-setters and a Heisman winner.

Tommie Frazier IMO was a better college QB than both Manning and Vick.

Surprised to not see a Rocket Ismail mention yet put his college career was tough to place in this group because he played from 88-90 so what decade do you stick him in?

Yeah, I'd consider him an 80s guy. I think you would have to play 2 years within a certain decade to be considered. You may be right about Frazier, but being 8 years old at the time I was underexposed to him.

I would agree on the Ismail stuff but then how do you put him on the 80's team because 90 was arguably his best season(All American, 2nd in Heisman voting) Just an odd player to try and list.

I had him on my second team til I realized I had one too many. Hard to justify leaving him on there over Derrick Brooks or Keith Bulluck considering he never really followed up on his 13 sack freshman year.

Andy was a consensus All-American as a sophomore and won the Butkus award..

I think your list puts way too much basis on their pro careers over their college careers. Not having the best QB of the era even on the second team is mind boggling to me. Frazier was arguably the best college QB of all time, while Manning was maybe in the top 3 for the decade.

Ok, but I also have Lawrence Phillips, Trevor Insley and Peter Warrick listed. I think the Frazier ommission can be chalked up to me doing the list off the top of my head in like 20 minutes, and that I was 8 when Frazier was a senior, 10 when Peyton was a senior. Plus I grew up in SEC country so he was more at the forefront of my mind when thinking of that decade.

Tommie Frazier would obviously be my first team if I had remembered him in the 20 minutes it took me to come up with a list from my couch. I appreciate the input from everyone, and if I felt like it, I'd edit with Tommie Frazier at #1. But can we all stop acting like bitchmaid espn bloggers about this?

I feel like I'm playing Steve Spurrier to a bunch of Pat Forde's and Gene Wochjjoacohhowski's....It's ridiculous. Yes, I should've put Frazier as the top QB, I already said this 3 times now. Get over it.
