To me this is Rush craving his power and some internet web popularity. Seriously. He sells his forum cause he cant run it on his own and has no clue how to fix the problems. Then after 3 months of being with TGL he starts a new forum and claims it didnt work out. Well what exactly didnt work out? it didnt work out that the site was sold to them and Rush only had admin rights by name and couldnt do anything.....i mean, rush didnt know how to do anything which is why he sold the thing to begin with.

And lets not forget that the it didnt work out excuse has been used twice now that i know of. Remember when he brought gambino to vsn the first time? then after whatever BS went on, he backstabbed to guy to everyone by dogging the shit out of him and used the excuse that it didnt work out. Well if it didnt work out once, what made you think it would work out a 2nd time? It seems to me that gambino just got stabbed in the back again.

and what was wrong with gambino? he seemed like any other poster on that forum. He wasnt a dick, didnt act high and mighty he was part of discussions and didnt seem to moderate much of anything. How would that not work out? They seemed to have a shitload of tourney style madden guys, but so fucking what. Its not like VSN was full of sports gamers. And the sports gamers they did have never posted anything outside of their franchise or league forums. Its not like u cant find or create 9 million sim leagues anyways.....not to mention, madden sucks ass!

Half of VSN including myself was banned from TGL for no reason so I hope you explain in this long rambling on why you think TGL was anything like VSN

Gambino has been nothing but 'high and mighty' the entire time at TGL. I was banned in under 2 weeks there and I was being extremely tame compared to how I was on VSN.

As for the database/suing shit, I'm sure you realize that databases are:
1)Not copyrightable under US law as a database is viewed as a source of general knowledge
2)Anything which houses illegal materials or reference to illegal materials cannot be copyrighted, thank you to JTRaines for posting the warez.
3)Gambino never even paid Rush in full like the contract states so it's all void regardless.


If you feel everyone dicked over gambino so much and TGL is a much better community, then feel free to stay over there.

Maynard is usually decent 50% of the time so I will due him the favor of laying it out for him in this thread.

1.) When you make a business agreement, you uphold your side of the deal. When that doesn't happen, feathers are usually rumpled. Initially we agreed to sell VSN in it's shitty/corrupted form to TGL and combine the communities. In return we would be given control over the forums to run it as we please (myself and houtz) and they would concentrate on their product (The Madden Lab) and the home page. With me and houtz running the forum, it wouldn't have been bad at all.

Our plan was to replicate VSN and ban their idiot members. However we weren't given the ability to do any of this as we were given the deputy mod abilities. Over 100+ VSN guys didn't even get a chance to post on TGL because they never gave us editing abilities to edit the 100+ usernames that were called "Imported_username" that happens when you use the ImPex import for members in a vBulletin merge. We were supposed to add the VSN skins, smilies, fix post counts, edit usernames, and were never given the permissions to do so. Causing people to flip shit, be upset, stay unhappy, and bitch. Rightfully so that is.

2.) Gambino agreed to send us $8,000 in this "deal". There was a contract and he breached it. He told us VSN's members sucked, our community was ruining things, and he had no problem banning the ones who caused any sort of problem or left criticism as to how things were ran on his business....yes he referred to it as his business...not his forum. It wasn't even so much about the money, it was about him completely banning off all of our good members. When he banned Epidemik, I said fuck it. Read the Tales of the TGL Staff forum thread in the Locker Room. The evidence is overwhelming that they gave no shit about VSN or it's community. They had fucking Top 3 lists of who they wanted to ban the most from VSN. Give me a break.

3.) Argath has already ran over the parameters of this "breached contract".

When I spoke with Gambino about a week or two ago about the VSN merge. This is the conversation.

Me: So the VSN merge was a complete and utter failure?
Gambino: No, it was very successful because there is power in numbers. We now have more members and a much higher post count.

Meaning the actual people who posted didn't matter at all, it was the actual "numbers" that were important in this situation.

The deal with the shitty "up and down" crashes was due to incompetent hosting which Argath can attest to. Argath is handling the technical aspects of the site, so there is nothing to worry about on that front. If you have any more questions or just want to rage, feel free to blather on.

All the while I had members from every VSN-spinoff IMing me, emailing me, facebooking me asking me and Leftwich to remake VSN. 150+ people back in less then 48 hours....this place is turrible right?

as for anything else posted, i read bits and pieces, but i just dont care. I have better things to do. Agrath posted some stuff about contracts...whatever. He also mentioned something about people being banned.....whatever. i dont care.

What i do care about is that the gameroom section is gonna be shit over there and shit over here. The gameroom has been shit since MM shut down and thats the only section that i ever cared about.

And yes, when vsn had issues i went to rush and mike to try and get those two to merge back into one. i was interested in helping out both sites because both struggle for posters and vsn was dieing due to the server issues. yes i was trying to help. I dont feel ashamed of that at all. I do feel bad that mike declined, respectfully (it was nothing against rush)

If he screwed you on your deal and everything else you posted is the truth, then i am sorry i didnt take the time to read up on this stuff before i posted. But it would be nice to have 1 site so that we can have the same group of people around long term. It would be nice to have those rainbow six nights like we had on MM. but thats never gonna happen if people keep moving around.
