He actually got started with EA before the GameChangers program was created. The GameChangers program was started up by MM veteran RAC before he moved on to Epic a few years later. There have been several guys that got their foot in the door with EA as a GameChanger and have gone on to full time jobs with the company though. A lot of guys there at Tiburon started out as a QA tester and have worked their way up to some pretty good positions within the company.
I'm not looking for a career change though. I just want to help represent the Madden community to the developers and make the case on what areas of focus are important to us all. If I can help restore some of the credibility as a gaming site that MM/VSN once had in the process, then we are all better off for it.Comment

What gamer wouldn't take the opportunity to have direct lines of communication to the developers of their favorite game?Comment

It depends on how many events you are invited to attend and how much time you can put into the program. I would imagine that I will put at least 100-150 hours into it this year, possibly more if needed. As someone that plays Madden practically every day of the year, I am humbled to be asked to interact with the development team on what they have on the drawing board or things they might want to put on the drawing board as the result of feedback from the GameChangers.

Just remember that the reason you want to be a GameChanger is to have influence for the community. Don't be afraid of constructive criticisms for fear you no longer will receive an invite or free games etc. In other words don't be an EA blind schill just because you are part of the program.Comment

Nobody at EA is going to quit inviting you to events because you provided constructive criticism on the game. That's what you are supposed to do in that role. Members at the site have always gotten any free games we received for reviews and giveways so nothing will change in that regard if I get something in the mail.

What you saw was pretty calm and laid back. Wait until you get Jeff "The Sim Sheriff" Setzer, Shaun Mason, or few others all together.... it gets very interesting. " Who the f___ thought that was a good idea?!?!"
