A show called "The Extra Point"

Superstar wasn't a focus for us this year. You all have seen the heavy focus on gameplay (Pro-Tak and much more). We've got some big stuff in online that will be announced soon, and Franchise is getting a lot of tuning, bug fixing, and a new show called The Extra Point. On top of all this, lots of time spent on presentation this year. Simply put, we tried to focus on the fundamentals and what is core to the Madden NFL Franchise.

I wouldn't expect any big Superstar feature announcements this year but the feature is of course included in Madden NFL 10.

We'll get to find out more May 28, 11PM on Spike TV. There will be an hour episode of Gametrailers TV. I really don't care about superstar mode though. They should just take out superstar and add in the ability to see as the player. Like first person football except its just an additional camera view you can use if you want.

with so much focus on gameplay and this pro tak thing is the chise really gonna live up to the hype at all? i would settle for what we had on ps 2 right now to be honest. at least that was a playable chise.

I'd be SHOCKED if online franchise doesn't make Madden 10 given the sucess/reaction from the community with online dynasties. However, I'd also be surprised if you heard it before the release of NCAA.

EA wants to maximize its profits and really with the focus this year on Madden being gameplay a die hard NCAA guy like myself is wondering why anyone would purchase NCAA if Madden does in fact get online franchises.

They did say they would announce a big online feature at E3 though which i am pretty sure is June 2-4.

lo I love the way you said that. It's like you already know they are gonna have it in the game. As much as I want it and think that it will make it in Madden 10 also. I am gonna find it pretty effin hilarious if we all get a major let-down and there is no online franchise this year. Lets all just pray until we get the announcements.

And I agree, just take superstar mode out.

VERY nice if it is what I think it is. I remember this feature on ESPN NFL 2k5 with Berman hosting NFL Primetime going through highlights of the week. Although it had it's fair share of glitches, it was still very awesome. I'm hoping that's what this is, that article makes it sound like it is.
